I said more of a chance. 10%>0%, I think people that get held are more likely to be accepted too as we show more interest

You should have received an email almost immediately - it's all automated.

I think you just go through the email link whenever you're ready. The online interview isn't on Skype and it's not with a live person. You get questions, then get a short time to prepare and a minute to record a response to the question.

That's weird. I was emailed a status checker like 2 days after I submitted my app, but never anything about the interview. Maybe I should email admissions

I just want to check to be sure. Does NU do "Under Review" for ED applicants on their status checker? I applied ED and haven't seen any movement since mine went complete.

Check the header of the status checker. It should say something to the effect of "your application is complete and has been forwarded for review" or something!

Ah! Totally missed that.

Recorded my online interview this week, and as others have said, that one-minute time limit is so awkward. Even though I practiced knowing the time limit, I got cut off on a couple questions. The phrasing of my questions didn't seem to ask for any illustrative anecdotes, so I would suggest to everyone to get to the point upfront before giving any examples! My questions included (others were already posted on this thread):

Are you an optimistic/pessimist/realist
How would you cheer up a classmate who was visibly upset in class one day

Did anyone else who wrote a DS still have an unchecked "Optional Essay 1" in their status checker?

Just did my online interview finally. If anyone is interested, here are the questions I got:

1) Tell me about a time you were part of a team with low morale/motivation. What did you do to resolve it?
2) Tell me about the most stressful time in your professional career. What made it so stressful and what did you do to get past it?
3) What is the relationship between your successes and your failures?
4) Tell me about a time someone didn't understand how you were feeling. What would you have done differently if you were that person?
5) Tell me about a time you analyzed a large set of data. How did you go about it and what was the outcome?
6) Why Northwestern?

Had my interview today. I think it went well??? Lol.

Mostly got asked about things on my resume (not in a skeptical way, just in a "I see you did __, tell me more" type of way), talked about my short- and long-term goals after law school, talked about a challenge I faced and how I dealt with it, then spent like 10-15 minutes asking my interviewer question.

It was very pleasant and my interviewer was really nice when it came to providing me thorough answers and offered advice if I need it.

Same!! I highly suggest in-person alumni interviews because mine was so chill compared to the online horror stories I've read here. My interviewer also focused a lot on my resume, explaining my job, what I have done since graduating, why law, why Northwestern, why Chicago, future goals, and very generic questions. Nothing outrageous and no oddballs either!

We talked for about 45 minutes and I also asked 15-20 minutes worth of questions. I think it also helped that my interviewer grew up in the same city as I did so it was less nerve-wracking as well.
