Just turned down my seat, freeing up some $$ for the rest of you. Best of luck to those on the WL!

They said they review the WL mid-April, but does that mean offers as well? Also, has the Deposit Deadline changed?:)

Hey everyone, I need some quick advice -

To accept the scholarship offer I know we must also matriculate and reject our offers from other schools but does this also require that we withdraw our pending applications as well?

I know that we can stay on waitlists, so my question really is about pending apps.

I'm fairly certain that is subject to simply offers, not schools that haven't made up their minds yet.

I don't see anything in my scholarship offer that requires action beyond submitting a tuition deposit (i.e., no requirement to matriculate or withdraw other applications/waitlists/acceptances). Am I missing where this is stated?

No. Dean Asha from YLS explains this very clearly:

https://law.yale.edu/admissions/jd-admi ... hool-scams
"I addressed this last year in the wake of a new rule promulgated by the Law School Admission Council, which specifically states that law schools may not require applicants to withdraw from schools from which they have not yet received a decision as a condition of accepting a scholarship or any other type of offer."

tl;dr: pending apps never disqualify you from changing your mind despite having accepted a scholarship offer.

This is why Asha is great.
3. If you are criticized, belittled, harassed, threatened, or made to feel bad in any way, ask the admissions/financial aid person with whom you are dealing at that school to give me a call. I'll take it from there.

She is awesome. But don't go calling up a storm to Dean Asha. That promise is conditioned on a pending application to YLS ;)

The status checker doesn't have a date, so check the decision delivery system. It should say there.
