I'm in! And I had an absolutely terrible video interview too.
Congrats to everyone else admitted today!

Does everyone go DLS at same time, or is there a chance I can still hear back today?

You have to apply for $$$. You have 7 days from the acceptance day to fill the application, including two essays. I don't remember the requirement of College board stuff. Check on admitted students website.

In via email. Applied early December. Stats in my profile, bombed one question during the video interview.

I'm writing my Scholarship essays right now and I'm having some trouble with the first question:

I think comparatively speaking I'm not a great candidate for need based aid (no UG debt, parents are helping some amount) however it's still Private law school tuition and I still would have to take some amount of debt to fund it. How did others in this situation approach the question? Did you discuss your need based qualities and express you anticipated low need based scholarship, or did you state your situation and analyze it as favorably as possible leaving them to ultimately dispute that?

Has anyone else tried completing the CSS form yet? It's that College Board form that is just insanely invasive to ask us to answer just to apply for scholarships. Do we definitely have to complete that as I'm not even sure I can get all of that information?

I said that I understand that I will likely receive no needs-based aid based on my parents incomes but explained that they would not be contributing any more, because they are (1) a year away from retirement (2) have some unusual and urgent family financial obligations and (3) financed my undergrad. After that, I was very frank and said I would need a reasonable amount of merit-based aid to attend Pritzker.

I think most schools ask for a similar level of information.

Do we have to pay that submission fee for the income information form?

If you want any aid, since NU combines need-based and merit-based, you cannot submit the scholarship essays without also submitting the CSS profile.

Ah, that's right.

I was thinking of the FAFSA, which is the only thing required for people who just want federal loans.

Yeah I'd just not worry about it much. They've been kinda slow this cycle it seems like. *As long as you're complete.

On DLS it says my app was received on 1/3 and is complete as of 2/15. I completed my interview on 1/16.
For those that check DLS, do you have two complete dates, or do you have received/complete?
Will my 8-10 week timeline start from Jan, or from when I went complete 2/15. The latter would suck since I have a long way to go even though I applied almost two months ago.
Sry if I sound paranoid, NU is a top choice.

I had two complete dates. Did you do an online interview or did you interview with someone? It took me a little while to go complete after interviewing but I interviewed with an actual person on skype.
