In the same boat as you. It's so annoying! Reject me already lol Better than stringing me along.mudiverse wrote:"Online chat" seems to imply text/voice based only. If it was video it would probably say something like live online seminar or conference. The site says that it's a semi-annual event, meaning that it just so happened that the date overlapped on a crucial response date deadline (today). It will likely mean nothing whether you show up or not.Thelaw23 wrote:So I don't get it, it's going to be like a video of the Dean responding to questions which he gets in a chatbox from applicants?
Or are we all on camera?
Still outrageously disappointed. I know my numbers put me at ding (no false modesty. <50% on both numbers) but I still don't appreciate being strung along just because they don't feel like issuing rejections. Congratulations to all my fellow ED Holds who have made it through.

Just looked at the Admitted Students Page and saw: "Save the Date: Admitted Students Weekend April 7-8, 2017!"

I can't believe NU has not given decisions to all ED-held people and their email makes me feel like they are guilty for not keeping their promise. Would it be possible that the AO just need more time to review files and are buying time for themselves either to review files or delaying making decisions during a slow cycle?

Thank you for your message and continued interest in Northwestern.
Please know that the Admissions Committee is in the process of re-reviewing applicants on hold who still wish to remain under consideration.
We understand this is a stressful time for applicants as you weigh your various law school options. As such, we appreciate your continued patience and understanding as the Admissions Committee works diligently to re-review your application file as thoroughly as possible during this very busy period of the admissions cycle.
That's my guess as to how it would sound. How close am I?

I'm at work. I'll sign on just in case someone is watching the list to gauge interest or something, but I can't participate much.Litt1tUp wrote:Thoughts on this chat with the dean today for those who got the email? Are you gonna sign on?

How are you guys answering the financial aid form? Is this when you explain what other schools you have been accepted to? Or just say why you want NU?

Interested in what others think of this as well. I was reading it as "tell us why you're great + why NU + need based financial circumstances"jjcorvino wrote:How are you guys answering the financial aid form? Is anyone else on the live chat that submitted a question a while ago and it hasn't appeared? Is there something wrong or does it take a while for the questions to appear?

Tried asking when waitlists and dings are going to come out but my question never showed up. Oh well.

Are you using your real name? Because I asked a question under a creative username and it didn't show up, but when I used my real name it showed up.PDX4343 wrote:Tried asking when waitlists and dings are going to come out but my question never showed up. Oh well.
