Yeah, I mean at this point I feel like it's a ding or WL. Auto admit or FR admit I would have heard back by, and ding I (hope) I would have heard back by. Thank you for your added theory though. It's making the wait more bearable knowing there's a bunch of quality apps out there still.
Idk, I could see them waiting until the last minute to admit the 11/12 on faculty review, since they're on the bubble
Asha says in one of her blogs that 12/12 and MOST 11/12 are admits, whereas 10s are waitlisted right?
" To this end, I send about 25% of our applicant pool -- close to 1,000 files -- to our faculty "Committees." At this stage, each application is sent, in a stack of about 50 files, to three faculty readers. Each faculty member uses his or her own criteria to rate each file on a scale of 2-4, with 4 being the highest. Each faculty member reads independently -- that is, the faculty member does not know who the other two readers of the file will be and so there is no discussion of the files with other people --and his or her scores are kept confidential from the other readers.
Once the application is circulated through the three readers, we add up the scores in the Admissions Office. All applicants who receive a 12 (straight 4s) and most who receive an 11 (two 4s and a 3) are admitted"

ETA.

I'm hoping we all find out one way or another in the next week. They said their aim is to have all decisions out by the 15th, which is a week from today.

Wait, that means about 4000 applications. But Asha said in her earlier tweet in March:

"Finally DONE reading 2,938 admissions files! (But *not* done with decisions PLEASE DO NOT PANIC.)"

Has the number of applications dropped substantially? Or is the 25% figure or the 1000 files figure in error?

How many really early applications (Oct./Nov. completes) are still waiting? I went complete 11/4 and have very no clue how to interpret that.

This post was from like 2012 I think haha. People have commented up thread that she also said 20-19 percent, so it might be closer to that the more files she reads?

In my rejection email today they said there were "approximately 3,000 applications" this year. #helpful

My baselessly speculative bet: trickle of acceptances and dings each day for the next week (maybe none tomorrow) and then the waitlist next Saturday.

That sounds just bleak enough to be accurate. -___-
