If you don't mind me asking, when did you get your acceptance email? I got my email, but I'm dying to see what they offer me!

Email the 17th, packet the 23rd. I got another email the day after I got my offer from this really cute student ambassador but she never responded to the question I asked her lmao.

thanks! LMAO- did you tell her you got that scholarship $? Maybe then she will come around!

I didn't lol but she is the kinda white girl that'll make you want to go to Notre Dame and never look back lol.

DEAD. That should be in your scholarship negotiation email. I will for sure attend Notre Dame- I just want a little bit more money and that student ambassador's number.

Hahaha just had to say this would be great. As an alum, not sure it would work, but it's hilarious.

She emailed me back lol. I guess she was sick.

Has anyone attempted to negotiate with ND yet?

A couple people on the admitted students page seem to have sent stuff off. I'm still waiting on some other scholarships before I send in an appeal - especially considering they don't really start looking at them until well into March.

For people who have submitted their scholarship negotiation forms already: what was your initial offer from Notre Dame and what offers did you submit to them?

Status checker says decisions mailed but no e-mail too. And no seat deposit info. Does it mean ding/WL? 167/Superior here.

Earlier this cycle it seemed as though everyone who didn't get seat deposits were dinged/WLd. But, recently there were some other people ITT that didn't have seat deposits show up. I wouldn't assume ding/WL.

Anyone else rethinking their application now that Pence is speaking at commencement? I know it's already a conservative leaning school, but I think that this is pretty shameful considering the administration he's a part of's mistreatment of several different minority groups.

Haha not rethinking my application but ND definitely fell a couple of places on my list.

Every newly elected president since jimmy carter i think has spoken at the notre dame graduation in their inaugural year. i think the fact that notre dame chose to break this tradition because they felt so strongly against trump shows a lot more about the character of the university.

Or maybe Trump declined? Along with the millions of other things that normal Presidents do that he decided to skip.

Here's an idea. If they actually want to make a stand against his adminstration, how about not inviting HIS GODDAMN VICE PRESIDENT WHO HAS AN EVEN WORSE TRACK RECORD

i mean he's the former governor of indiana and now VPOTUS (regardless of the admin its a big deal), and notre dame is in south bend, indiana. seems pretty standard for a commencement speaker booking.

It is very relevant. As you will see from seniors who will be boycotting their own graduation because of that. If you don't think that's relevant to the discussion of this school, then I don't know what to tell you.

According to you.

Notre Dame invited President Obama, which sparked protests. I am sure that Vice President Pence will spark protests. People should probably learn to deal with hearing from people that don't agree with them by the time they're in college or, especially, law school.

If you don't want to come to Notre Dame because of this, fine. But this is a place for applicants to NDLS, not a place to debate the policies (real or imagined) of the Trump administration.

It's actually entirely irrelevant to anything one should consider for law school: employment, location, etc.

There is an overlap there, and judging by the amount of responses to the initial topic it seems people would tend to agree with me that it is worth bringing up.

Also, this post reeks of condescension. If you're trying to set an example of how Notre Dame graduates conduct themselves in the community, perhaps don't post with such a smug certainty that you're right.
