Who's planning to attend the ASW in March? I think my husband and I are going to fly out for it (from MN) and then hopefully head down to LA to visit some friends. I'm v excited to get to some nicer weather  Also, I've never been to CA (but always wanted to visit), so I'm super excited!

As a SoCal native who worked in SF for 6 months, just want to warn that the nice weather that everyone imagines in CA is actually a SoCal thing. The Bay Area gets some good days but has a fair share of cold, wet and foggy weather. (Granted it's not snowing, but when the city officially names their fog Karl, you know it is foggy a lot) So there is some literal truth to Mark Twain's statement, "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco."

Down in LA though... the life, weather and people are amazing. Being an 1 hour away from the beach, the mountains (where it does snow), the desert and Disneyland is an incredible lifestyle. Two days ago I was snowboarding and this morning I was surfing. Not many places can give you that haha

Cali is great besides the high taxes, regulations, cost of living, and horrendous laws

loooool. I would probably want to live in Cali if it wasn't for all of this ^ though COL is high in any major market.

Good to know, but I can guarantee SF has nothing on Minneapolis/St Paul for terrible weather ;) (a few winters ago--thankfully the winter I was studying abroad in southern Spain--the temperature did not get above 0 degrees F for more than 50 days in a row. many of those days had wind chills reaching -30 or -40)

Has anyone at/below the medians heard back yet? Seems like most admits on mylsn have been above 75ths or splitters for the most part.

I'm in the same boat but submitted mid November and went under review 12/19! Between median and 75 for LSAT and GPA so hoping to hear something after the new year!

I'm assuming that's to encourage people to use reusable bags rather than plastic?

Didn't even know this was a thing. Lol maybe I should google how bad Cali is

Another problem. UC Berkeley is incredibly intolerable. I wouldn't last a week.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
