In via email this morning. Submitted 1/2, Under Review 1/30. Floored especially because I was not offered a fee waiver.

I am in the exact same situation. At this point I feel like I'm just going to pretend I was dinged and plan accordingly.

Went UR today after submitting a week ago. So is the general timeline about a month for a decision?

Could be as fast as a week if admitted directly by Dean Tom, or could take a month for FR.

what does this email mean?

Dear ----------------------------,

I write to inform you that your application to Berkeley Law has passed an initial administrative review and has been selected for further consideration by the Faculty Admissions Committee. The Committee will begin deliberation on your application on February -. We anticipate a final decision will be reached on or around February --.

Thank you for your patience.

How long has it actually taken admits to receive log-in info? (will it actually take up to two weeks?)

It means he couldn't immediately make a decision on your application and it was sent to "faculty review" for further consideration (sorry, I think there's a better explanation somewhere in the thread). It's a good thing, you're still in the running! Any decision can occur after faculty review, but it is a decent sign and you'll find out around the date given.

Anyone know what factors they weigh more heavily in determining merit aid?

My best guess is somewhere between 1/8 and 1/4 chances of getting in through FR.

is that an improvement or a downgrade from my chances straight out of application? I had a 167/3.77 from berkeley undergrad and applied on jan 10th. I just cant tell if this is good or bad news

"Thank you for submitting an application to Berkeley Law School. We write to inform you that it was processed successfully and is now under review.

Our review process is thorough. Each application is reviewed holistically and several factors are considered. Given the large number of applications we receive, we request that you refrain from contacting us unless the matter is urgent. You may check your status here."

Is this a general "Your application is now complete!" email? I'm a bit confused about all of the different types of reviews Berkeley Law has going on.

Nah! It's actually under review now. Status checker should confirm this :)
