It's high on my list but it's not THE school I'm waiting to hear back from.

It's high on my list, but I can probably be swayed by more money from another school.

Meh... I applied because it's a T14 - we'll see how my cycle goes.

Really just plan on using it for scholarship negotiation purposes.

Still feel really unsure. I'll probably visit or go to ASW to get a better feel for the school/location.

How do I withdraw? Can't figure out how to do so on the admitted students' website.

I was talking with a friend from undergraduate who is finishing his 3L year at Michigan this year, and he encouraged me to try to negotiate my scholarship offer. Re-reading the scholarship letter, however, it is apparent that Michigan is not interested in negotiating its initial offer. (I mean, maybe it will for exceptional and unanticipated need or for people who want to go into public interest, but not for someone with a little bit of work history and an interest in a normal legal salary.)

Any updates from someone who has tried negotiating?

Also curious. The language does indicate rather clearly that they're not keen on negotiating, but I wonder how steadfastly they intend to stick to that plan. Like you would think that if a few thousand $ would swing someone to commit, they'd try to do that, right?

don't listen to any email by any school saying they don't negotiate. It's never true.

My status checker says it was updated today but still no decision. I just sent basically a Why Mich email to admissions. Please admit me. Let me love you.

The Michigan status checker updates automatically every day, regardless of whether there's movement.

I"m dreaming right along with you, lmao - mini heart attack every time I open the status checker and see that update date.

I tried negotiating earlier on. They said no. But some have suggested there's may be something wrong with my application. No idea. Check my earlier post for details.

I just looked at LSN data for last year and it shows that only 4 people were accepted after 3/9 last year  There were a couple who made it off the waitlist. Are the prospects that bleak at this point or should I not focus too much on the LSN data?

Keep in mind that not all applicants have LSN. It's possible there are more people who get accepted this late in the cycle but they just haven't been on LSN!

I'm a terrible person because I only just now updated my LSN stuff despite having looked at past years and seeing literally nobody in my position (sub 25 GPA, 75th percentile LSAT) had been outright accepted, which I was within a few weeks of applying.

I think it's probably fair to say LSN is definitely not representative, and TLS anecdotes are probably a better predictor than just going by the graphs on LSN.

+1 Applied 2/5 and am not expecting much because this is a little bit of a reach and I applied so late, but they kept sending me such convincing lit

Thanks for all the responses guys! I'm going to ease of the LSN data :)

Sorry if this has been asked already/ since this is the applicants page it might not be known, but I just sent in my lawyers club application and received an email back saying they begin making lease assignments in early May. Should I assume that means I'm in? I don't want to find out in May that they don't have room for me and scramble to find off campus housing...

You can probably just reply back and ask them

Is anyone else's status not updated from 3/11?

it should explicitly say in the email that they will be able to accommodate you a lease once you have placed a seat deposit
