It's high on my list but it's not THE school I'm waiting to hear back from.

It's high on my list, but I can probably be swayed by more money from another school.

Meh... I applied because it's a T14 - we'll see how my cycle goes.

Really just plan on using it for scholarship negotiation purposes.

Still feel really unsure. I'll probably visit or go to ASW to get a better feel for the school/location.

Ok, I'll break and do the neurotic check-in. Above both 75s, been complete since October, but no news. I know a lot of people are in the same situation, but did anyone else NOT receive the "thank you for your patience" email the other week? I checked the status checker thinking it meant I was dinged, but no change. I think they forgot my app existed.

what the hell, Michigan...I was accepted just over 2 weeks ago, so could be receiving my aid award (fingers crossed!) any time now. I'm not particularly impatient, but I'm looking forward to it. I received the consumer information and the offer follow up e-mails today! really stressing me out here.

Same. I'm not a bad applicant either. Above LSAT > 25 and GPA > 75. It would be pretty bizarre if I got $0, considering Michigan gives out scholarships to ~80% of students.

Finally went complete today. It took about 4 weeks, so really I shouldn't be surprised, but it seemed like forever

My understanding is that everyone can expect an email --- even if they're not receiving any money.

I'm also on the "it's been two weeks, where's my scholly info?" train

Got an e-mail asking for supplemental info regarding in-state status. I don't know how well that speaks to my chances if at all, but it was exciting to hear anything back.

Also best wishes to the folks who got dinged. :\

Damn, I don't know how the Int'l non-GPA works, but is there any word how that typically weighs on an application? Do International students have a more difficult time in general? Best of luck to you. You obviously have a killer LSAT at least, so I imagine you'll get some love from a top school.

I don't think it weighs a lot on an app. I'm an int'l applicant and my LSAT is right on 75th but I got in pretty early in the cycle with a decent scholly. I assume that it only denotes a stronger emphasis on the rest of you application.

From a school's reporting perspective, a non-existent GPA has no impact on the medians. It is essentially like a median GPA.

However, internationals have a tougher time getting jobs with visa uncertainty, accent issues etc. And due to lack of funding, many actually don't end up joining LS as well. I believe this is the difficulty in marketability is the only difference between a median GPA domestic student and an international student without GPA.

One small point that is in favor of internationals though is diversity.

Submitted a Why Michigan last night after getting the "thanks for your patience" email last week. Hopefully this helps - I think Michigan's my top choice at this point!

Applied for the first preview weekend! Subsidized hotel is really nice - 3 nights for $60.

I think not getting YPed is going to be a problem for you, but it's worth a shot if you can whip up a good "why Michigan". I'm sure they'd hand out $ for those numbers but it may be difficult to convince them you actually want to go there when you apply this late.
