More info from FinAid: additional merit scholarship notices will be going out this week and next week (but probably not today). We're basically on track to be caught up with everyone who has been admitted through mid-January by the end of the month.

We're trying to simultaneously finish catching up with people admitted before the new year while also transitioning to giving people who were admitted in January (and moving forward) merit scholarship information within 1 to 2 weeks of being admitted. So the order in which candidates receive information from FinAid will continue to not necessarily be chronological from the date of the offer of admission.

What you posted sounds like I could hear back before you, though. At any rate, sounds like we should both hear back by the end of next week or so!

Not terribly delighted to post this but I figure it'll help others out:

Just got denied the Darrow, or however the hell you want to phrase it. Offered $50k/yr dean's scholarship. Interviewed around the first day I think.

As mentioned earlier, I felt rather off my game during the interview (thanks Dayquil) but I am somewhat surprised by this result.

Seems like a poor tactic on the part of Michigan. Like, if I hadn't been invited to interview for Darrow I would be really stoked about $150k. This has left a bad taste in my mouth

(Sorry, I don't want to be insensitive to others waiting on decision/$$. I know it's a fabulous amount of money, I am just reflecting on why Michigan would pursue this strategy. It's not so bueno)

Duke specifically invites you to the Mordecai, you don't do the normal scholarship interview from what i've seen on TLS

Also, whats the monetary difference between the Darrow and 150K? Most schools with named scholarships DO interview people, and not everyone is selected, like NYU named scholarships. I don't think it's a Michigan-specific strategy.

Yeah I figured I'd post because there doesn't seem to be a lot of data on how many Darrow interviewees get it. Wanted to add my sad little data point for the future generations!

Just got $120k! Really can't believe it. Was the best outcome I could reasonably have expected, I think. Spent the last 2 weeks trying to talk myself out of hoping for it.

Toured campus and interviewed with Dean Z between acceptance and now. No idea if that had any effect.

Michigan just made attending a t14 school a finiancially viable option for me. 75K scholly. Lsat just below median, gpa >> 75th. I'm so excited!

These are my numbers and that's the exact scholarship amount I'm hoping to get. Fingers crossed. Congrats!
