Cool. Did you have your recommender email it or did you do it yourself? not sure how lax the requirements are

my recommender told me after the fact, I was not expecting it at all. he went ahead and used backchannels to get it in. he's an alum. said he emailed. I think once you've exhausted the LSAC # of LORs or have been WL'd it's really fine to email it or mail it. I read on their website yesterday that if you absolutely have to, you may mail or email directly.

lsn data from last cycle shows a wave of wl as late as 4/20-4/28. I'd guess late april but I suppose if we're stuck waiting until then, it's prob a wl/reject
addie1412 wrote:Looking at last year's cycle data, there were only 9 people who applied before the new year, were waitlisted, and were notified about the WL AFTER this point last year (so, later than March 17, 2016). Of those 9, the 2 who included more detailed info about their cycles (timelines in the notes section) reported receiving a hold notification in late February 2016 (both 2/18, actually). I'd guess that other 7 were also probably held prior to getting waitlisted in late March or April.
My relatively baseless hypothesis is that if you applied prior to Jan 1st, you would have either been waitlisted by now or a part of the hold waves that have already happened if they intend on waitlisting you later.

Nope. Just got my interview request yesterday. Appointments available March 21-24.
Applied 2/9, went complete 2/28.

Perhaps to gauge interest and protect yield. A waitlist might turn people off toward the school whereas a Hold allows adcomms to see who really wants it.

i met with them a few weeks ago and that seems like it's part of it, but they're also looking for fit. they want to see why you have an interest in CLS and what you could bring to the community

Sorry, meant to include this as well, got distracted at work. Submitted 1/22, but didn't go complete until 3/2. I reported a really minor incident from my freshman year of college on the application's C&F section, but unfortunately my undergrad student conduct office never sent the required documentation, so it took a while to get the gears turning. Honestly, given how long that all took I wasn't expecting to get any good news back from CLS. So I guess what I'm saying is don't give up.
