No. I applied early September and just interviewed with significantly worse numbers. Also you might not even need to interview. Relax, it's only been a month for you.Snowjon wrote:I am over both 75ths. Applied mid October, should I be concerned I didn't get an interview?

Anyone else just get an email from Columbia with the subject "Columbia Law School's Diverse Community"? I'm sure it means nothing, but it definitely made my heart skip a few beats.

Yes. I already interviewed, too. So I was really excited and then about as let down as possible.nslaw123 wrote:Anyone else just get an email from Columbia with the subject "Columbia Law School's Diverse Community"? I'm sure it means nothing, but it definitely made my heart skip a few beats.

Not URM, no interview request. I also got way too excited when I saw the email preview on my phone.Keilz wrote:Weird I didn't get that email. Did you all get interviews? Are you urms?

They never had RD interviews this early though, no? Most of them were mid-December last year.

No, Columbia only interviews a portion of its applicant pool, and many are admitted without interviews. It seems like nobody really has a firm grasp on why they interview certain people and not otherscalpolisci2016 wrote:And are all admits interviewed?

Re: Columbia c/o 2020 applicants (2016-2017)
I read somewhere (possibly earlier on this thread) that interviews are likely for students who are a "maybe" for admission (i.e. lower numbers but not too low) and/or if you have something particularly interesting (good or bad) that they want to know more about in your app.xnsch wrote:No, Columbia only interviews a portion of its applicant pool, and many are admitted without interviews.
