congrats! I'm hoping UVA can break my 5 school waitlist/ding streak as well

Thank you and good luck!! I have a feeling we'll both be choosing between C'ville and durham

No positive news for me since 1/17 so I'm also hoping UVA ends this lull

I've been waiting since early December :?

Are many other people waiting on scholly info to decide whether or not to attend ASW? Pretty short notice to book flights.

I looked at last year's forum and at LSN and couldn't really get an idea of what percentage of people who heard back about scholarship funding only through SIS actually received a scholarship offer that way. I'm getting kind of worried about it, especially since I've been admitted for about four months already.

+1 I went to UVA for undergrad and absolutely loved it. Went into this cycle almost completely set on UVA, but without $$, I may have to take a scholly at a T-20 in the market where I eventually want to work. Really hoping they pull through before Friday, but still trying to manage my expectations.

Can I be part of this group too (UVA please let me have to make a decision, you've been looking since 2016 how much more do you need)

I'm on the WL and I'm working on a Why UVA to send in. (I know I'm an idiot for not doing that in the first place). By chance does anyone remember the guidelines for this? The prompt doesn't show on the PDF of the submitted app on LSAC.

Do you mean what to write about or how to send it in?

UVA doesn't request one/prompt for one in their application

What to write about. If there was a specific prompt and/or word count guidelines.

Really? I could have sworn I saw a post here that said UVA and Umich were both schools you essentially HAD to write Why X statements for. The anxiety may just be getting to me and I'm losing it though....

I didn't write "Why"s for either and got in to both.

I didn't write one for UVA and got in. Shoot me a PM and I'll help you with your Why essay though, I prepped that question pretty hard for my interview

I think it is definitely beneficial to write one for those schools if you're a splitter. I am and I wrote one for each and got into both.

Your numbers are better than mine, but I'm holding out hope for getting of the WL at UVA. I was rejected at UMich already.

According to LSN, the last UVA Acceptance "wave" of the 2015-2016 cycle was on 3/3/2016. Random acceptances after that, but mostly waitlists and rejections. I'm still UR1 so L-O-L.

Same here. Went UR1 on 12/6. Nothing since.

I think I may have been misinterpreted earlier - their application doesn't specifically ask/prompt for one, but it is widely regarded around these parts as a very helpful component to a successful application. Sure, people get in without one, but it certainly doesn't hurt to write one (and in my case I'd say it helped - my interviewer referenced it, and it gave me additional talking points in the interview)

It took three weeks from complete to interview request for me. I applied in November though so things may be slower now? Idk.

I went complete 11/03/16, and got my request 01/19/17. It felt like an age. #keepthehopealive
