And I can't imagine fast-pitch even being allowed - I'm pretty sure I've never seen a guy play fast-pitch (or anyone outside of women's college softball), and since it's coed, I imagine that will hold true. For slow-pitch, the trick is more placing your hits rather than just crushing the ball. IIRC, there's 10 fielders for slow-pitch (at least the leagues where I'm from), so crushing it deep outfield is typically just a flyball out.

^ This. 100% which, to be fair, is fitting for lawyers-to-be.

Why would UVA send me a 5 pound package? Is it a brick and a letter rescinding their acceptance? haha

Softball bat?

I'd hope not. If you've got a 5lb bat you're going to destroy your shoulders.

I'd bet it's some super special Dillard package...or the massive magazine they sent out a couple days ago. I got mine Saturday

Oh, it's probably the magazine (anxiety begins to fade). Haha, I suppose if they were gonna posthumously reject me it'd be an email rather than a package.

Not a chance they'd reject you after the Dillard and super early admit. You could honestly probably kill someone and they still wouldn't rescind (looking at you Tulane Law)

T14 schools are a good bet, but I believe UVA isn't one for negotiating much. You might be able to leverage some money out of UVA if you have a very small or no scholarship and a full ride at a T20

have applicants typically heard back relatively quickly after interviews, or can it take a bit longer? after perusing this thread it seems like a lot of people heard back within a day or two....it's been less than a week for me [and I know I'm being neurotic] but already starting to panic as it's approaching March

Congrats! Recently went to a dinner for some admitted students and UVA is really separating itself at the top of the pack for me. Hope you find it to be as awesome

I know that those of us still waiting will hear back about scholarship information by Friday, but every day that I check my mailbox and have nothing from UVA, my heart breaks a little.

I looked at last year's forum and at LSN and couldn't really get an idea of what percentage of people who heard back about scholarship funding only through SIS actually received a scholarship offer that way. I'm getting kind of worried about it, especially since I've been admitted for about four months already.

The job owning my soul choice spoke to me

It's an absolute miracle that I was able to (and will be a nightmare when I) take off two days to visit berkeley

No positive news for me since 1/17 so I'm also hoping UVA ends this lull
