Current 1L here. I honestly don't think I've ever heard of a student here getting grades that bad. That would essentially be a C+ average and most of my professors said they don't give 1Ls Cs of any kind unless they just completely show absolutely no understanding of the material on an exam. The school also doesn't want any student to have a GPA that low because they will not be employable which hurts the school's reputation and ranking. If you're putting forth any sort of effort, I'd say a 2.7 would be about as low as you would go and even that is rare/not likely.

Got a 434 phone call this morning.
Raced out of my office to answer.
"Hi, would you be interested in Liberty University Law School?"

When I looked up their student handbook (I'm that bored at work right now) there was something about "losing a point" if you miss convocation or are late for curfew

For situations not addressed through Restorative Practices, a point, fine and community service system is used to
address discipline-related issues. The purpose of the sanctions is not to punish, but to reinforce the principles of the
Student Honor Code. Sanctions are considered according to the guidelines listed below:

1 Point
• Late to Convocation (1 additional point for each additional 15 minutes late)
• Late for curfew (1 additional point for each additional 30 minutes late)

4 Points (+ $10.00 Fine)
• Absence from or disturbances in a required meeting (Convocation, etc.)
• Disturbance/non-participation during Convocation
• Dress code violation
• Failure to respond to a Student Affairs official call slip within 48 hours
• Inappropriate personal contact
• Improper sign-out
• Curfew violation

In case you were still unsure that UVA is the best school in VA. I hope this helps. The list goes on too...

Sexual relations outside of a biblically ordained marriage between a natural-born man and a natural-born woman are
not permissible at Liberty University.

I just got an email from UVA about applying for financial aid, but I haven't received my admissions package yet. Does everyone get this or just people who didn't get merit based scholarships?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
