If you go on a weekday, admissions runs daily tours at 11:30. It's run by a law student, and you can ask questions, meet current students, etc. Worthwhile if you're already going to be in the area to get a feel for the school.
Thanks guys! I figure it would be nice to see the LS.

So if I went UR and did not hear from them for a week, I am probably getting dinged or WL? That does not sound good...
I'm not sure on the accuracy of this - if I'm remembering correctly, there's a lot in this thread who were UR2 for multiple weeks before receiving interview requests (and ultimately acceptances).
Yeah, I'm not sure how accurate that is either. I went complete 1/16 and had a date change 1/23 with no interview request. That would mean it only took them 7 days to decide to ding/WL me. Hoping that isn't the case but I guess it's possible
You're a splitter with a JS1 right? I'd be surprised if they ding/WL'd you since you're a splitter, and UVA is typically pretty splitter friendly (and being a splitter, I doubt YP would come into play)

Mild splitter, between 25 and 50 at most places. I did apply pretty late, but also wrote a pretty decent (I think...) Why UVA. Here's hoping for an interview soon!

How long have people had to wait to hear back after an interview? I had mine the first week of December and haven't heard anything since

Has anyone taken the phone instead of Skype option for the interview? For me, it would just be easier to do it over the phone and just step out for a lunch or coffee break at work rather than the logistics of skype. Would it look better to do video though?
I took the phone option... I think its truly up to you and they don't mind either way.

I also did the phone option (so I could have my notes in front of me, because I was a nervous wreck). I learned 2 things, 1) I didn't need the notes, and 2) it didn't matter that I decided against Skype. Got in the next business day. :)

Went with phone option because my microphone is broken on my computer.. Got accepted at the end of the interview. Don't think it really matters.

PS: Have you heard about scholarships yet Pic? I just got my login for UVA and there's no financial aid listed. Not sure if I'm out of the running or if it won't update til later

I asked my interviewer about that (I am in the same situation), as she gave me her # for anything, big or little. And she said that FinAid is coming out throughout this month and next for the most part. We just have to hold tight :/

I went complete around 11/28 and I've been listed as "under review" since 11/28. No interview request or anything. 50 > GPA > 25 and LSAT >>> 75.

Should I be concerned? I know my application wasn't perfect, but I've gotten into Columbia and a number of other T-14s, so it couldn't have been egregiously bad either. UVA is high on my list, so I'm starting to become very concerned that I've gone more than two full months with no movement / complete radio silence. Is there anything I should do?

If you look through this thread you'll see 2+ months of radio silence is pretty normal, unless you're not UR1 yet. Are you at UR1/2?

UR1. And an interview is necessary for admission, right?

Just got scholly info! 54k. Very happy with that considering I wasn't even sure I'd get into UVA. With COL being so cheap, UVA is probably the leader in the club house at this stage in my cycle.

Hoping I can negotiate up a bit if a bigger offer comes in elsewhere though

The people who didn't interview met with a dean or someone from admissions in person through an appointment or at an LSAC forum

Really hoping it's a good sign for me at least. I interviewed almost a month ago. LSAT=25, GPA>>75 (not URM). Decent softs (D1 tennis player, original undergraduate research, club president, academic awards). I believe I wrote a good PS, and I know my LORs were probably pretty positive. I've gotten into W&M, GW, GULC, Michigan, Penn. Just waiting on UVA, which sits at the top of my list. I sent a (delayed) why UVA on Friday, I really hope it helps haha. But the wait is killing me! MyLSN.info gives a pretty good prognosis (I probably won't be rejected), but still, I wish I would hear back already!

Can confirm that, as I am (I believe) one of those two cases. When I visited a couple weeks after submitting my application I asked to speak to someone in admissions (I didn't have an appointment) and it turned out to be one of the directors of admissions. We ended up talking for about 10-15 minutes about the program in general and my interests. Had NO idea that would count as an interview. Needless to say, if you can visit and speak to someone, definitely do it!!
