Here's to hoping I don't get dinged for my low GPA

I'm below their 25th GPA, between their 25th,50th LSAT.Keilz wrote:I'm between 25-50th GPA (towards the lower side) so I'm hoping since their margin is so tight that I'll be seen like a median applicant it sucks that their median went up this year, unless they are rounding again.Thelaw23 wrote:Very few people accepted with GPA's lower than 3.6 on LSN,regardless of LSAT. Are you looking at the person who reported being WL, then rejected? What made you decide it was a mistake?Keilz wrote:I was just looking at law school numbers and it looks like someone was rejected?
Edit - upon closer look it was a mistake
Yeah, fingers crossed they're just waiting on the low GPA apps for later once they have the bigger picture.brinicolec wrote:Thelaw23 wrote:Very few people accepted with GPA's lower than 3.6 on LSN,regardless of LSAT. The ones that were accepted seem to be either URM's or ED.

if you click on the person's profile you also see a second nyu entry with pending. also most of their other schools they have WL-->rejected for them as well, so it looks like they made lots of mistakesbrinicolec wrote:Are you looking at the person who reported being WL, then rejected? I'm international and have no GPA to report. NYU, accept me please. No, but I hope you're right and I'm wrong!mm2368 wrote:I feel strongly about a wave tomorrow. does any1 agree?
My feeling is one more wave before winter break and it's in next week.mm2368 wrote:I feel strongly about a wave tomorrow. does any1 agree?
That's not good :-/mm2368 wrote:if you're right about only one before break, it'll be quite the big one - they'll have to notify all of the ED people.hellohalo wrote:My feeling is one more wave before winter break and it's in next week.mm2368 wrote:I feel strongly about a wave tomorrow. does any1 agree?
But I hope one this week and one next week.
Or they accidentally put NYU twice and were WL then rejected lolKeilz wrote:if you click on the person's profile you also see a second nyu entry with pending. also most of their other schools they have WL-->rejected for them as well, so it looks like they made lots of mistakesbrinicolec wrote:Are you looking at the person who reported being WL, then rejected? I think they accidentally carried data forward from a previous cycle.brinicolec wrote:Or they accidentally put NYU twice and were WL then rejected lolKeilz wrote:if you click on the person's profile you also see a second nyu entry with pending. also most of their other schools they have WL-->rejected for them as well, so it looks like they made lots of mistakesbrinicolec wrote:Are you looking at the person who reported being WL, then rejected? I disagree, I think there's more randomness to it or they're at least paying more attention to softs. My LSAT was over the 75th, but my GPA was between the median and 75th. I don't think they're going in order with stats because I was accepted November 15th after going complete sometime around October 18th. Regular Decision btw.eck456 wrote:+1Keilz wrote:First they accepted mostly over both 75ths, then was splitters, now let's hope it is time for medians

Let me clarify: I don't think acceptances are coming out in order of stats. I don't think they're necessarily releasing the 75ths, splitters, then the 50ths. I'm sure they have some other concept of deciding who gets accepted at what time. There's no point assuming that just because you numbers aren't as high, you should have anything to freak out about because you haven't heard in a few weeks. I'm sure softs come into play and also what the school may be looking for.hellohalo wrote:But your stats are highpandaaa wrote:I disagree, I think there's more randomness to it or they're at least paying more attention to softs. We still have this Friday to hope formm2368 wrote:So, I'm guessing Monday or Tuesday? (Leaning toward Tuesday) and @HelloHalo I think you were right - perhaps just one big wave before the winter break - and not just acceptances, because it'll be the day that they notify the majority of ED people.
I guess, in other words, I'll be sweating profusely through another long weekend.
