Last year, first movement on 5/8 but they also received WL email earlier than us.
Also, haven't sent in LOCI yet because I have nothing new to add (out of school; working)

Re: NYU c/o 2019 WAITLIST
I emailed immediately after receiving the waitlist email stating that I still wanted my application to be considered for admissions. Is my status checker supposed to change/should I have gotten any form of confirmation?

Just wondering - who signed your Waitlist Confirmation emails? I received mine today, which was weird since I confirmed last week and my status checked updated last week as well.

Re: NYU c/o 2019 WAITLIST
Hey guys! Checking in, 3.3 178 applied in November. I had a quick question about the LOCI process, is it helpful to write one even if I don't have any new information to add to my application? I'm still at the same school and job I was when I applied. NYU is definitely my top choice though so I almost feel like I should write one to let them know that. I just don't know what other things to focus on in the letter. Thanks!

The general idea is not to bombard them with no new information. Did you give any indication in the past that NYU was your top choice?Goatside47 wrote:Hey guys! Unfortunately no, I almost applied Early Decision but got talked out of it by family that didn't want me to commit to anything at that point. And I didn't write any sort of Why NYU either.gopurp333 wrote:The general idea is not to bombard them with no new information. Re: NYU c/o 2019 WAITLIST
i dont think there'll be any movement next week cause seat deposit date on NYU website says "generally first Friday of May." In 2014 and 2015, first Friday of May was May 2 and May 1, respectively

Re: NYU c/o 2019 WAITLIST
hm.. not sure where OP got the info from. Possibly from an email notification that all admits received. If that's true, that makes me anxious for next week. Last year people went UR the week following deposit deadline, and received DLS (admit) a day or so after the UR date. Good luck, mi amigos!

do we know where we're expecting to see movement? I had assumed that we're just waiting for emails... or have we returned to constantly refreshing the status checker?gopurp333 wrote:Anyone see movement today?

Re: NYU c/o 2019 WAITLIST
Did anyone go from "Applicant Confirmed on WL" to UR?
Last year, this started on Monday 5/4. People got WL calls on Wednesday 5/6. I think we are looking at sometime this week, as Stanford and UVA already started pulling off WL.

Re: NYU c/o 2019 WAITLIST
So who would take NYU at sticker if you got in off the Waitlist? Where is everyone deposited at? I am not sure how to make polls, so if someone knows please let me know!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
