Hey guys! In the Wait List email it was mentioned that we could send in a 2 page essay on any topic. Have any of you submitted an essay? I have no idea what to write about. Thanks!!

Hey y’all, so I’m visiting the campus next week and meeting with one of the admissions staffs. My question is… do I have to wear a sute? I’ll be traveling from NYC and I really don’t want to wear a sute haha

Suit is not necessary, but don't look super casual, either.

Hey all,

I got the waitlist phone call on 6/16 Thursday and was told to think and call them back in the next couple of days. How quickly is the next couple of days? Would it be really bad taste to wait a week on this coming Thursday 6/18 to call back? I definitely need the time to decide.

I hope you called back within a few days! Very poor taste to wait a week - they could very well give your spot to someone else. Next couple of days means the next couple of days

Also, though I've been rejected off the waitlist, I figured it was time to create a new poll! Get some energy back into this thread. Have at it!

FYI, I was at the law school last week and spoke with someone in Admissions. According to them, the class is finalized barring any "surprises" from members of the expected matriculating class. I'd guess that if more movement is to come, it won't be until late July or the beginning of August.

I was admitted off the waitlist yesterday after receiving an interest gauging call on Wednesday. I am beyond thrilled as Penn was my first choice. Thank you to everyone who posted helpful insights in this thread; I had been reading along for the last few months now and found the posts very informative. Please do not hesitate to message me if you have any questions regarding my application experience and I will try to respond at my earliest convenience. Good luck!

I grew up around Philadelphia, and I know there are shootings in that city almost every month:

3 Dead, 3 Wounded in separate shootings
