I may be completely wrong, but I get the impression they're application numbers are low-- I got an email from them about a week ago saying it's not too late to finish my application (I had started it, but decided not to apply there), and they offered a waiver.nisalurve wrote:Accepted with full scholarship yesterday! You're completely right. Like I said, I applied on a whim because I had the fee waiver and figured why not. My numbers are good enough for admittance, but not good enough for a scholarship of that size, I think. Either the rest of my application was fantastic (likely) or they're hurting for people (much more likely). I'll take it either way though, visiting in AprilPhaedria wrote:I may be completely wrong, but I get the impression they're application numbers are low-- I got an email from them about a week ago saying it's not too late to finish my application (I had started it, but decided not to apply there), and they offered a waiver.nisalurve wrote:Accepted with full scholarship yesterday! I get a similar feeling that something is up. The only problem that worries me about going to IU is there employment numbers which are not congruent with many similarly ranked schools. Subtract school funded jobs and its only 59.4%. I know they reduced the size for the class of 2018 but who knows what is going on.nisalurve wrote:You're completely right. In with 40k/yr. Might actually take a visit. Didn't really expect to be considering.

Re: Indiana University c/o 2019 Applicants
Anyone else going to the admitted students day this Friday night/Saturday (April 1st & 2nd)?
Also, I applied Feb 28 and was admitted with 18k/yr scholly last Friday, March 25th @ 156/3.74, so I'm under the median(s) but I have a strong resume that seems to have punched me through.
Good vibes all around; it's the best ranking/scholarship mix I have so far. Now It's a question of fit.

Can you PM me your stats?
I'm in too (today) and i only received 40k/yr
I'm above 75%
BTW what's with the ranking jump?
Would it stay this way?
If IU stays at T25 i'd take it with a bit more $

IU has traditionally been in the 20's, they just dropped last year is all.chooy wrote:nisalurve wrote:Accepted with full scholarship yesterday! I'm shocked because I applied on a whim

You are above both 75th percentiles? Its fairly late in the cycle, so that's probably why you are not getting all the money you could get. I am guessing that if you applied about 4 months ago you would have gotten close to full, as well. 40k is still a good amount though, and if you consider a really low COL its a pretty decent deal.chooy wrote:nisalurve wrote:Accepted with full scholarship yesterday! My guess is the low money is just because you're late. My app went complete on 3/2. 163 LSAT, 3.7 GPA. I also withdrew my application today after receiving an extension on the 'deposit' deadline. Keep on them with the negotiations, I'm not the only person I know that declined the full ride. Good luck!chooy wrote:nisalurve wrote:Accepted with full scholarship yesterday! I tried negotiating but they declined
You're right. I applied late-March and my app went in review early April

Kinda attempted negotiating. They never got back to me. Withdrawn -- six figures back in the pool.

Got an email today stating that in the next few days the Indiana Law Admissions Committee will invite a few applicants from its waitlist to join its fall 2016 entering class. Hopefully this is good news for everyone...lawdawg4 wrote:nothing from the waitlistsometime82 wrote:any movement here?
