Since I'm a Texas resident I obviously had my heart set on UT, but this makes it much harder to choose.
GPA? LSAT?
3.67/170

I saw from the first page of the thread that you're attending UH! What is it like? Mind if I PM you?
Go for it

In via email 2/5/16. Scholarship email sent 2/9/16. Submitted 1/9/16.

They didn't give me very much $...so I probably won't be attending. Anyone try negotiating with them?

Not yet, but I'm also curious to this. Any current students out there?

I attempted negotiation and eventually enfed up with a bump, but I'm not sure it was the result of negotiating. I think other people withdrew and more money became available.

Sweet. They're my top choice so I'm going to attempt negotiations with them last. So probably in a few weeks. *fingers crossed*

I'm a MA URM > median LSAT and > 75th GPA getting 10k/yr. In your experience would they possibly bump this to 15k?

I am from the area so this would make the school an easy choice for me if possible.

I can't really give you an answer to that. I have no idea what other people have gotten. You'll just have to ask and see what you get

My thoughts as well, gonna look up flights this weekend and consider it. What day are you considering? Be April for me.

I'm looking into the March 25 one. April is too close to the deposit deadlines for me.

I'll be there for the April one. I have a friend's wedding the next day in Houston so it works out perfectly, especially with travel reimbursement.

Is anyone familiar with how the travel reimbursement of ASD works? Will the school provide stipident in advance or students would get reimbursement afterward?

Hey y'all!

Application was complete as of 2/13 (I think) and is listed as "file under review" as of 2/24.

Got into Baylor on 2/25 with a full tuition schollie. LSAT way above the 75% and GPA > 3.6... should I expect a good amount of money, and would I be able to use that Baylor scholarship to negotiate?

I'm hell bent on UH unless I get into UT which would give me some pause. Houston (burb) native and I'd love to save on rent even if I have to deal with crappy I-10 or Westpark Tollway traffic. It would be really freakin' nice to graduate with minimal debt.

Other schools: SMU, Baylor, UT, Notre Dame, Boston U (the last two are more or less "for fun" applications, unless they throw me money.)

Do you know how reimbursement works? Do they reimburse in advance or after ASD?

Congrats! My email came in while I was driving from Houston to College Station, full tuition. 30k a year is essentially full tuition isn't it?

Congrats to you too! Not for me, I'm OOS. The total scholarship they gave is $30k per year but they separated it so that one of the scholarships brings me to in state tuition level and then there is another ~$15K on top of that.

What were your numbers, if you don't mind sharing? I'm in the middle of negotiating with them for a scholarship bump and was just curious.
