Admitted as well, as of 2/26. Anyone planning on attending ASW?

Have you asked about funding from the law school for travel? I know lots of people who got that (ed: in years past, and don't know about ASU specifically).

I sent an email today to the designated person. Don't live anywhere near AZ.

I am an undergrad at ASU and If you get the chance to come out here you definitely should! It was 85-88 degrees all week last week and the pool season has begun!

A little bit. From 60% to 75% in-state tuition. Considering an offer to withdraw all other applications for 100%, maybe even 90% if they reject that. The whole process is going rather slowly

Great. Thank you! I emailed admissions about 2 weeks ago and am still waiting for a reply.
My experience is that they're really slow to return emails, if they even return them. I've had more success calling, they usually get back within 72 hours. Not the best turnaround, but eh. Not like I'm waiting for anything else more important, you know.

I'm curious to hear how your negotiations go. I got admitted on the binding program two days ago, but I pretty much can't afford to go anywhere without a full scholarship. Waiting on the scholarship info is making me nervous...

They will reimburse up to $100 for flights, but they pay for nothing else.

Talked to some ASU folks I know went to ASW last year--some had far more covered than $100. Entire flights were paid sometimes. I am sure it is all about how much they want you--but you should at least call and say you want to go but need "x" to go. As someone who went through this process a little while ago--I am surprised by how many aren't willing to make that call and at least ask. There is a big difference between asking "what will you cover" and saying "I would love to come, but need $400, or something, to cover costs." Just my 2c

For anyone that has received a scholarship offer from ASU, does the scholarship offer come in an email or would it be in the admittance package that is mailed? Would love to attend ASU but would likely need some scholarship $$$.

Just made my RSVP as well! I'm a local, so tip to people flying in: Tempe doesn't have a lot of hotels. It'll be easier to stay in South Phoenix by the airport or in Mesa. Rates are high right now because we're in spring training season, so avoid the "nice" parts of town like Scottsdale. But I've heard that our local AirBnb hosts are pretty swell. We've also got Lyft and Uber pretty much on-demand, and public transit is cheap and air-conditioned.

Plan on attending in the fall! Anyone know about housing? Where are good places to live (close by the new law school, good night life, etc)

Finding a place to stay was a total nightmare, but count me in as well!

heyimliz, not sure if you saw Huskies13!'s comment about reimbursements but you should definitely give admissions a call to make sure. i'm a current student at ASU (2L) and i know that travel reimbursements can vary, it really just depends on the circumstances. it never hurts to give admissions a call to see what can be worked out

also, i definitely recommend ya'll make an effort to come to the welcome event! there's always a bunch of professors and current students available for you to talk to and you can get an idea on what your future classmates are like! it's a great way to get to know what the culture at ASU is like (super chill, in my experience :D )

As an AZ local, let me just say, it's worth it to pay for a nicer place. South Phoenix is a dumpster fire.

Phoenix is more fun than Tempe? How is that possible with all the Tempe nightlife on Mills Ave and the undergrad action. (I'm from the northeast so I don't know much about it.)

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
