Word, check the admitted students portal - http://apps.law.georgetown.edu/admitted-students/tuxedocat wrote:FYI, Georgetown status checker only says complete, no under review. Also still waiting to hear from basically everywhere (like still complete, not even UR, at places like Georgetown, Cornell and USC...who knows if Columbia or Chicago have even looked at my app yet). In at UCLA & NYU, but out at UVA & Berkeley, amazingly WL at Harvard.
Tuxedocat, are you definitely going to GULC? Or weighing other options as well?

Mmmm I would say that GULC is my top choice but I'm still waiting to hear on $$$. It feels crazy to say no to schools throwing big money around, even when they're lower ranked. Hopefully GULC pulls through.Jessicakes90 wrote:Word, check the admitted students portal - http://apps.law.georgetown.edu/admitted-students/tuxedocat wrote:FYI, Georgetown status checker only says complete, no under review. I hate how close these schools are cutting it, I mean I know we waited until it was down to the wire to apply but still.

Accepts:
Columbia
UMN (withdrew)
Waitlists:
Harvard
GULC (withdrew)
Michigan (withdrew)
Deny:
Stanford
Berkeley
No word:
UofC
NU
Yale
Cornell
NYU
It's the "no word" from the Chicago schools that is really getting to me at this point. Hopefully there will be movement soon; I'm really feeling the regret on the late applications at this point! =)

Part of me knows that applying late in the cycle isn't the only thing that hurts your app, but even though I am not an amazing candidate, I was wait listed and rejected from schools I honestly thought I would get into or get wait listed at, respectively.
What's everyone's opinion on how applying late in the cycle affects the probability of acceptance or wait list?

So far I've been accepted all the places I was expecting to get accepted, I got more money from WUSTL than I thought I'd get. The only suprise for me was getting wait listed at ND

Re: Late-Jan. and Feb. Applicants c/o 2018
Hello fellow late applicants,
I've had a pretty rough cycle. 161/3.7 (double major+minor, decent softs)
Accepted - Wake Forest
Rejected - UMich, UVA, Georgetown, Harvard, (<-yolo), UCdavis (what!), GW
Waitlist - UW, W&M, UMN, WashU
Pending - Columbia, Stanford, Vanderbilt
Just wanted to add mine to the collection here, all apps were submitted Feb 1st or later.
Does anyone know if this is a fairly proportionate amount of dings/wl/acceptances for my scores or if applying late really hurt me (or if it could have been some other aspect of my application). I realize now that many of these schools are really out of my league but for the ones that aren't? And just one more question if a schools lsat 25th is 162 or 163 how much does my 161 hurt me?

George Washington: Complete 2/25 Accepted 3/13 with merit $
UVA: Complete 3/2 Waitlisted 4/7
Yale: Complete 3/11 Rejected 4/1

Strong start in February but March was far less kind. Still hoping for some WL acceptances in the near future but probably going to Wash U.tuxedocat wrote:Great idea! I was waiting on my December LSAT because of a low LSDAS GPA, so I ended up applying in February. >75th LSAT and <<25th GPA just about everywhere I applied, feel free to message for stats.

Re: Late-Jan. and Feb. Applicants c/o 2018
I sent out all my apps between 2/15 and 3/2. So far I'm down to waiting on 1.5 schools. Alabama has me in permanent review and NU put me on "hold" so I count that as half a decision.
Oh, and a mystery result from Vanderbilt since they sent my letter to the wrong address and I haven't received it yet. It is going to be either a WL or a reject so it doesn't really matter but still...
I'm a little glad I applied so late in the cycle. It forced the schools to decide in short order. If I had applied last fall and was still waiting, I'd have gone insane by now.
