I mean, will they even give you anything different than the email?
Yes. It's one thing to put a response in writing to an applicant - it's a formal recorded response. It's another to speak on the phone. Nothing is recorded and they're staring at your file - which you cannot see - while you speak to them. Play your cards right and you can get some extra color.

Has anyone else still not received the most recent email update from Georgetown about the status of the waiting list? I am on the regular waitlist and still haven't gotten anything. I feel like I should have gotten some sort of update by now...?

Anyone else just get a feeler email about attending if they have some spots open? About to have a heart attack

Just declined their offer because I got a better scholarship to NU. Good luck to anybody still waiting.

I just got that same email as well. Very surprised, as I'm not on either of the priority waitlists. Someone above made a comment about the adcom going for reverse splitters right now. I'm a huge reverse splitter. So maybe I can serve as contributing to proof of that.

Did you get the below e-mail saying classes were full and few would be extended over the next few weeks?
We have now had a chance to sort through our responses to our first tuition deposit deadline. As of today, the class is full and we anticipate making few, if any, new decisions for the next few weeks. We, of course, know that you may need to make other contingency plans and will do our best to let you know if there is any news or updates. We will be back in touch with you for sure no later than June 5th.

Yeah, I got that one a couple weeks ago, so that's why I was so surprised when I got this new email asking if I would attend upon admittance and that they were going to make some offers.

Sorry svx, I didn't see your earlier post! Yes, I'm on the preferred waitlist.

Also got the previous email about the class being full. Fingers crossed we hear something soon!

i am unpreferred waitlisted, but i also received this email and those previous ones. i just wonder whether they send out these emails to everyone on the waitlists, or just to ''selected few'' :|

Both my friend and I got the feeler email too. We are both reverse splitters (3.8/low 160's) except I'm on the regular waitlist and she is on the preferred list. I sent two LOCI's prior to the May 11th "class is full" email.

I can't say I've noticed that Georgetown has a trend of sending just anybody the feeler email - it tends to only be sent to a certain group individuals. Though it's a good indicator of potential admission, it's not a guarantee.

I see. So do you know anyone on the WL who did not receive the feeler email? I just feel unsecure...

I also got the feeler email. My numbers (3.9, lsat around the median) fit the general profile of high grades that the adcom seems to be looking for. I agree with Imm, in that this is a good sign but not a guarantee of admission.

I have a feeling we are going to see some movement these next couple days. I haven't heard back since receiving and responding to the feeler email. Has anyone been contacted with a follow up yet?

My friend just got admitted after getting the feeler email. I'm still on the waitlist after not getting the probe.

Thanks for sharing. Was your friend on the preferred or regular WL?

I received a feeler email last week and had a feeler call this week with a nice woman. Priority Waitlist. Reverse Splitter.

I bet it will be the same as the last email ... the class is full and we will update you later.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
