Where are the CUNY School of Law applicants??? Forum

Just dropping into this thread to say that CUNY's new law school building is freakin beautiful. I live very close to it. Not too much in the area, but its a very safe area, and its very quickly developing and getting more living/retail. To the extent you are curious about the neighborhood, I'm happy to answer any Q's.

I was just accepted last Friday as well! I got the letter in the mail on Monday - it didn't include any information about scholarships so I thought I didn't receive one. Just to make sure, I called the admissions office and they said scholarship information doesn't get sent out until approx. a month after the acceptance letter.

I just received in the mail today, 2/28, the invite for lunch with the dean.

The lunch was supposed to be 2/27. RSVP was due 2/20.

Did anyone go?

anything on scholly information yet? I've received my scholarships for all of my other acceptances, so I don't know what to think from CUNY.

I haven't heard anything from them either. Considering I received acceptances and considerable scholarships from other schools, I'm not sure if I could stomach going to CUNY for full price. I hope to hear from them soon considering my earliest binding decision date for one of the other schools is April 15th... would it be too much to call and ask?

agreed! It seems pretty ridiculous that none of us have heard anything about scholarships considering we have seat deposits due so soon. You would think that CUNY would want to avoid people passing over their school merely because they didn't find out about scholarships soon enough.

BTW, if you all don't go to CUNY where do you plan on going?

Well I applied to cuny because i really wanted PI-NYC. You can probably search my profile history and get a sense there. usc offered me a shit ton of money, but Im not digging the idea of being stuck in SoCal. idk

O my goodness,

I just received the most wonderful 2-pp. handwritten card from cuny. Hands down, the best correspondence letter that Ive received anywhere. It extracted what I said in my PS. really personal. great read
