Also wondering the same thing about if there is still any chance for people on the list. Although I don't think they ever tell you "no," it's just how long you are willing to wait. I've heard of cases where people get offered a spot the day before classes start which is kind of a long shot, but you never know, someone might drop out.
I'd expect a few spots to open up yet. The T14 schools are pulling from their WL's now, and there will be at least a dozen who trade up from UCLA.

I think the major activity is done from the waitlist.
I really hope you are wrong!

Has anyone contacted admissions about spots left? Why do all of the other years for the facebook group have 340 members? That is the only thing giving me hope lol

That's definitely not a good indicator. They only bring in ~300 a year, then maybe the transfers join after the fact, and there are plenty of people who aren't coming to UCLA still in the groups.

For the major WL activity remark, you may be right about the major part, but there's still movement to go. Spivey just tweeted about how Columbia and Penn are rumored to have movement this week. That will steal a few from the lower T14. Then when they fill those gaps, that will steal from 15-18, etc.

like i iterated earlier, its very likely that the class is full.
the fb group is very unreliable. i'm not on it for instance, and some people are on it are upperclassmen looking for sublets, etc
offers are only being given out when spots open up to kids getting in off t14 wl's.

theres definitely going to be some more offers as northwestern which typically has some of the most WL activity of all the t14s havent yet accepted the bunch of splitters they do typically around this time (late june).

someone mentioned penn but i doubt penn has much effect due to its small class size and typically very little WL movement. I'm on the penn waitlist myself and i got an email from them saying that they expect to pull 20 kids off the WL. judging from my own tls and lsn stalking at least 5-10 of these kids have already been accepted (all non/reverse splitters argh)'

ultimately the t-14s with large class sizes like nyu or historically high waitlist activity like northwestern have the most domino effect on lower ranked schools' waitlists

Someone who talked to an admin mentioned they were aiming for 320 people but recently the dean or someone else said it would be 290. If they are going for 290 they are likely full. Any idea if they are dropping their medians to 166? They admitted someone with 166 3.66 of the waitlist. That would help my chances

Where did they way 290? 30 people is a big difference lol. Their class size is usually around 320, correct?

I never heard the 320 rumor, but I did hear the 290 one, which apparently came from the dean. If you look at the last three years, 304, 293, 314 respectively, that doesn't really give a hint to either end of the spectrum.
I doubt they are purposely dropping medians, and while I know LSN isn't a great indicator because mainly the try-hards signup and do it, it seems to point towards a 167-168 median.

Of they are not purposely dropping medians but there has been a big decline with high LSAT scores and UCLA seriously downgraded their fin aid this cycle so those two factors may mean a 166 median. Of course I wasn't really serious as I really don't think they would drop to 166 as I have said here before.

Hey guys! If you have an interview and no call the next day is it safe to assume it's a denial? Has anyone interviewed and got a call more than a day after?

Thanks!

I'm wondering the same thing... Pretty sure it means I've been rejected. One week has pasted now. I'm going to send a loci just in case.

Do they usually send out rejections this early in the summer? Or do they wait until early August for that? Trying to figure out the kind of summer I'm going to have :?

just declined a waitlist admission with scholarship (10k/yr). was also offered need-based aid.
hope this is good news for someone else on the list.

FYI interviewed a little less than a month ago via Skype (Danae), offered admission approx. 10 days later.

I'm curious about the questions as well. My interview with them is tomorrow.

The interview was pretty brief (<10 min). We spoke about my interest in UCLA and in law school generally.
Danae asked me about my studying habits and asked whether I had any specific questions or comments to pass on to the admissions committee.

I didn't have any questions but made it clear that I had a good understanding of UCLA's faculty and course/clinical opportunities pertinent to my specific area of interest and a serious interest in matriculating there.

Hope I didn't respond too late. good luck

I had the interview on Tuesday morning. I wonder whether UCLA extends interviews to all the waitlisted students :?:

For what it's worth, when I was on campus last week I overheard Danae and some other people who I assumed were admissions officers talking about still opening new batches of files for interviews. Not sure if that was really all that significant, but maybe it means there are definitely still spots to go around for y'all!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
