I got $15k and was told this was the highest amount offered, but I was also offered more in need-based aid.

ooooh to resolve this issue: i got two merit based scholarships, the total of which exceeded $15k

so the ambiguity in the wording Re: Chancellors scholarship is technically correct. problematic in interpretation tho

I think they are trying to say that the Chancellor's Scholarship is the largest scholarship, but it may have different award amounts. For what it's worth, my Chancellor's Scholarship is 25k renewable (so they do certainly go larger than 15k).

Ok, after re-reading my aid award, I'm still confused.

15k Chancellor's scholarship, which says "this award is our largest scholarship" - is the Chancellor's scholarship their highest-dollar category or is 15k as much as they give out?

Also awarded a 10k "Hastings Renewable Scholarship" - it's unclear to me whether this is merit or need-based.

It does say, in bold, that my "total financial aid award will be $25,000 this year and $75,000 over three years."

Got an (unsolicited) email increasing my scholarship, which is kind of odd because the first scholarship I received said that the first award was their largest scholarship...? Wish they gave full rides.

I think it's the weird ambiguity about the "chancellor's scholarship", which it seems they disburse in different amounts.

Same as Dipper; just got a "new" scholarship email for 35k a year.

But I'll be withdrawing soon, so that money can go to you guys instead. :)

kind of creeps me out now that you guys got these as well. Wonder why they are so desperate...I feel very strange about anything right now. this is getting way too complicated...

Just got an emailing saying I was awarded their Provost scholarship at 25k a year telling me that this one was their highest, not that 15k one I got earlier. Anyways I'm going to withdraw soon. I live in the Bay Area but am no way interested in living in SF

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
