Yes, they do. Just ask. They're generous.

No deposit, just a form to sign which confirms your attendance - which has to be completed by April 1st, while most schools' deadlines are April 15th.

This lack of deposit is great and all, but the earlier deadline of April 1st kind of throws all negotiation tactics following the first deadline out of the window.

I still have ASWs to attend before the 15th and after the 1st!
In the past (as recently as last cycle) they have been willing to extend their deadline to the 15th. That may still hold true.

The committee has made a decision on your file. Communications are sent by postal service until mid-February and after that by email. Please allow allow 7 business days from the status change before contacting the Office of Admissions.

does that mean reject?

This is standard for IU. So could be either. The wait is awful, I much prefer getting decisions via email!
I was also accepted this way fyi.

For me it was exactly two weeks, but it took a little longer than that to get the decision in the mail. This was in the first couple weeks of December.
Thanks!

To the prospective student dood who decided to offer up suggestions to a group of 1Ls presenting a project in class: that was in poor form.

Yes I was there last week. I loved the professors I met with and everyone seemed friendly.

Also has anyone tried negotiating this cycle yet? I received 15k/year from Maurer but I got a full ride from Wisconsin so hopefully I can use this to get more aid since Maurer is my first choice.

Anyone else have to wait over 10 weeks for a decision? My application has been in review since the first week of December. I'm a splitter, would that matter in how long they take to make a decision?
