Re: Michigan Law c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015)
I've been complete since 11/4. Got the email in January apologizing for taking so long, nothing since. I've been holding back on a LOCI in case I get waitlisted, but now I'm starting to think I should send it in. Thoughts?

Pretty sure the vast majority of us still waiting are going to get the WL/Rejected treatment. I almost wish they would have just waitlisted me during that huge wave in February, instead of stringing me along. I still like Michigan very much, but this silence is making me cool off on them a little.

Re: Michigan Law c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015)
Hey guys, not sure if this will help anyone or not, but I just thought I'd chime in to share that I was able to successfully negotiate my merit aid earlier this week from an initial offer of $0 (all loans) to $25,000/year. Even if you've been told your aid is currently limited to loans, don't be afraid to start talking to them! I hesitated because I'd heard they don't compete with money offers from other schools but, from my experience and communications with the financial aid department, it definitely sounds like they're waiting to hear who else has put money on the table for you. Good luck to everyone!

Hey guys - any advice on what to ask/say when meeting with admissions for a WLed applicant? Going to meet with them soon and am nervous.

As unlikely as this sounds, I really think (at least when admitting off the WL) they're looking for people who they think will fit well within the community. Come off as friendly, nice, and community-minded, and if you have any ties to Michigan/the Midwest I would mention them.KMart wrote:Hey guys - any advice on what to ask/say when meeting with admissions for a WLed applicant? Re: Michigan Law c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015)
Just got off from the WL. Mich WL'ed me when my Feb LSAT score had not come out. After getting my new LSAT score, I sent them an email and asked for reconsideration. They said they would review my file again once they received my new score from LSAC. They also suggested me to send them a LOCI and I did so several days later. And today I received an admission package from Mich! Surprise!

Yep. There have been a couple reports here and there of it updating more than once, but admissions twitter said it's only once per day, so no point refreshing once the date changes.rainmaker12 wrote:does the status checker only update once a day ?

Is there any kind of deadline for when all decisions will be rendered? I see the first deposit deadline is April 30th, so is it safe to assume most decisions will come by that date except for maybe WL?

Why do you think Need-Based Application asks for the address where you lived when you attended high school? Not your current address? Just curious.
