Whoa. I don't need to. Just curious. Peace.
To make the application process as easy as possible, we offer an abbreviated "fast-track" transfer application to individuals who were offered a place on our waitlist. We would be happy to speak with you next spring if you are interested in exploring this option.

I did misspeak about the deposit deadline last week - didn't realize Y and S are later than H. Oops. Well, the chips have fallen where they will now, I guess.

Anyway, the ratio of A's to W's on Y's LSN page is 17:5 last I saw. If that happens to be representative (which I realize is not necessarily the case), then that gives 77% yield on the offer right now, which gives ~8 waitlist spots, so I'm going to hope that we get 8 waitlist offers and they're all TLSers.

*optimism* *possibly blind optimism* *whatever*

was the deadline at the same time last year? because if so, couldn't we potentially see some movement this week? next week seems more likely though...

Last year's deposit deadline was 5/2 (Friday) and they had movement the following Thursday (5/8). So I might be inclined to think early next week is more likely.

here are the numbers for "Accepted W" on LSN. way too small sample sizes to mean anything, but promising nonetheless

2014-15: 5 applicants
2013-14: 2 applicants
2012-13: 1 applicant
2011-12: 4 applicants
2010-11: 1 applicant

252. They haven't kicked me off yet though, and I imagine there are other people who've withdrawn still in the group as well.

So do you think it's too late to submit another professor recommendation if you're on the waitlist?

I went ahead and did it. Not sure if it will make a difference but it's worth a try...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
