Hey guys!

I took my LSAT in Feb and June this year, ended up with mid and high 160s... and I'm retaking in Sept. Not the most stellar record out there.

I did my undergrad in the UK, graduated with a high 2:1 but unfortunately got Above average from LSAC.

It's so nice to see everyone else on the same boat though, applying from overseas

Oh and btw add to the list of schools giving fee waivers, Columbia. I applied two days ago and was pleasatly surprised when i only had to pay $28... then got an email today saying my fee waiver was merit-based, based solely on my LSAT score... so I'm assuming all you 170+s got one as well!

Anyway nice to see everyone here again!

Oh and for clarity, for Columbia waiver, I think you have to allow the Credit Referral Service to send your LSAT scores to law schools to receive one? Because it was given to me without a request! If I got one with 169 I'm assuming 170+s will definitely get one!

But I'm so scared, I haven't prepared all that much... I'm afraid they might drop a few points, my recent PT scores haven't been very pleasant..

Checking in...UG from China, and finishing up a PhD in the US. Sat for the September LSAT, probably 169-173. I thought really hard yesterday and decided cancel it and retake in December. I know I can do better than that, and I'll need 177+ to have a better chance at T6, right?

I'm also on the job market for an academic job, wondering if I should apply for law schools immediately, or try to get a job and put some working experience on my resume before I apply.

Any advice is welcome!!

I don't think you would need to score that high to have a realistic shot at the T6, 172+ should put you in play, at least for CCN. If you are hoping for legal academia (b/c the PhD), you shouldn't settle for anything below that I'd guess. What's your PhD in? As to whether you should apply now or get some work experience, that depends on your career goals.

Welcome! If I were in your position, I wouldn't cancel. People walking out of the test room felt worse than they actually performed. You can apply to some-lower ranking schools with your October score and take the advantage of applying early. A score in the range of 169-173 won't hurt you.

Anyway, I'm retaking in December at Beijing test center. Currently PTing around 175. I'm looking for a study buddy to share PT schedules, review and discuss questions together. Feel free to PM me if you are interested:)

Had an insanely difficult first section, so I was panic throughout the exam. I almost cancelled my score, but was convinced by my friend. It turns out my first section is the experimental one and I did fairly well.

However, if you already formally cancelled your score, wish you the best luck on December!

Hello international friends! Those of you in Asia Pacific I hope the exam went well just out of curiosity, how many of you are looking into schools with study abroad opportunities? Will moving back to US is long overdue for me I can't help but get itchy feet looking at some of the programmes.

HKU LLM at Penn, Columbia could send you to Paris, even further afield at other schools like Capetown and São Paulo! Once an expat always an expat I suppose
