I live in the central valley (Davis is also in the central valley) and were having a "cold streak" this week with temperatures in the mid to low 70s.... no rain, sort of breezy, but its definitely better than 100+ degree weather!

Growing up in the dry heat of SoCal, I can definitely live with temps that high. Boston's humid summers are only made worse by the fact that most housing in the city does not have central air. Window units just don't cut it.

Was up in Davis this weekend and found a place - its behind the U-Mall at Wake Forest Drive off Russell. Also got to hang out with TMO!

Az, I was gonna go up to Davis a second day (was staying in SF) and call you, but decided to drive back to LA instead and beat the traffic. I'll be back up soon!

Is anyone still looking for housing? I signed a lease on a one bedroom unit at Portage Bay Apartments in West Davis, but something has come up and I will not be attending this fall. This is a typical one year Davis Model Lease beginning August 1st, so there's time to get settled in before the start of classes. Rent is $925/mo. I spent a lot of time looking for the best apartment complex in Davis - quiet, good management, short commute... and Portage Bay was the best option. But since I will not be in Davis this fall, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in taking over the lease to this apartment?
