Nor I. I expect an email of some sort. I must admit I am desperately checking online to see if there is any movement here or LSN...

So after looking at the Emory 2016 group, it appears people on the priority waitlist got an email April 21st, 'thanks for your patience', and people started getting in April 23rd. Soon!

And I know there was something on here about priority waitlist not being priority but I feel that has to be wrong because most of those who got in early last year got in off priority. Also the word 'priority'. Idk. Regular here so I hope I'm wrong!

Still no movement. Honestly, I am surprised that nothing has happened. However, the more I think about it, Easter fell on the weekend after the deposit deadline this year, but that did not happen last year so that might have something to do with no movement yet. Hopefully soon though.

According to the data my optic stems have gleaned...
Last year's deposit deadline was 04/19. TLS started lighting up with WL-Acceptances around 04/23. Typically the joyous phone calls came around 6-7pm EST. Scholarship info was included in the call. Those lucky souls had 48 hours to decide. They pulled from the priority and the regular lists. Some regulars got pulled before priority-ers.

Any day now.

With any luck it'll happen today, at the very least by next week. Honestly last year it was a bit amazing with how fast they started accepting people of the waitlist after the first deposit date...

But it just seems like lots of schools are saying they won't pull off the WL at all, among other weird crap that's been happening. After watching two cycles pass without me applying, I think this one has been the most unpredictable.

What schools have said they won't pull off WLs? Just curious.

UVA has for one, I don't know about many others. I am hoping that this won't be the case. In the email that Emory sent out they said that they expected to pull some. I think that with other schools the reason why they aren't pulling off the waitlist has to do with a changing strategy of accepting more students initially and then anticipating that some will just drop off. This could lead to a class size that could be adequate without pulling from the waitlist. I still hold out hope for Emory though considering that they usually fill the bottom portion of their class from the waitlist. But this is all conjecture of course...

highly doubt they filled their class, their LSN responses have been brutal. Almost unanimous withdrawals since the deposit deadline (like 31-1 or 2) Obviously this isn't a sufficient sample size, but comparing it to the ratio of responses at other peer schools (GW, Wash U Fordham BC) it isn't very alarming for waitlisters. I am not sure what is going on, I emailed the Dean last week and he never responded which is strange since he is usually very communicative.
