About two weeks ago they were doing renovations, that was at least what admitted students were told.BVest wrote:Either last week or week before, the building with Admissions in it was closed for replacement of the AC system, FYI.

Thought I'd bump this with information. We received a new newsletter (admitted students) that said: "Waitlist offers are typically finalized around August 1,"

Re: Texas c/o Waitlists (2013-2014 cycle)
SighEarlier this spring, you accepted our offer to be placed on the waitlist for our 2014 entering class. In light of the number of admitted students who have made enrollment deposits, the Admissions Committee has decided not to extend additional offers at this time.
The Admissions Committee will continue to monitor the status of the entering class and update you on a monthly basis. As long as the waitlist remains active, there is a possibility that additional admission offers will be made. If you wish to be removed from the waitlist, please send an email to admissions@law.utexas.edu.
I regret this letter does not bring more favorable news, but I want to assure you that we will keep you apprised of your status throughout the summer.

Not much movement about WL on the c/o2017 facebook page. There's 253 people in it though and about 60 in the 1L football ticket group.

Thanks. Can only hope for a lot of movement from other schools that might persuade some people to give up their spotsAttax wrote:Not much movement about WL on the c/o2017 facebook page. There's 253 people in it though and about 60 in the 1L football ticket group.

Talking with some non-TLS friends suggests that there are quite a few people who aren't coming to UT and have committed elsewhere. Not sure what this means currently, but may mean spots available later depending on the admit #

Re: Texas c/o Waitlists (2013-2014 cycle)
Just got this email from Dean Ingram this afternoon:
"Good afternoon,
You are on of a small group of students currently on our waitlist to whom this message is being sent. Are you still interested in attending UT Law this fall? If you have finalized your law school plans, please disregard this message and we’ll remove you from our waitlist. However, if you’re still interested in joining our Class of 2017, please reply to this email ASAP.
I realize you received an automated email from me late yesterday indicating no change in our waitlist status, but you should disregard the implication that we will not be extending additional admission offers. I would like to invite a few more students from our waitlist to join us before the July 4th holiday begins.
Regards,
Dean Ingram"
I emailed back and basically said that I was interested but currently planning to attend elsewhere for free and that it wouldn't make sense to go to UT at near sticker for me and my family. She emailed back really quickly and said--as expected--that they can't offer any scholarship money to waitlisted admits at this time. I went ahead and withdrew.
Good luck to you guys!

We got sections today, I wouldn't expect much more movement. Sorry for the bad news guys.
