Preferred Waitlist, Reverse Splitter.

Since I'm on 5 waitlists, I'm probably going to wait it out until August.

The email did not suggest submitting additional information. Should I consider a LOCI or another LOR? Thank you!
Definitely a LOCI, not so sure about the LOR. I'd suggest calling up admissions and finding out :D

"Special group" in preferred waitlist. I'm still not entirely sure what that means.

Haven't heard of that one, either--there might be something buried in a thread from last year's cycle.

As for myself: Preferred Waitlist. "Reverse splitter," but my February LSAT hasn't released so I'm planning on sending a LOCI after that comes out.

Happy to share stats via PM if people are curious.

at what point is it appropriate to send in a LOCI?

Also, any other part-time WL'ers here?

I will follow up with a LOCI for sure... have to think about the LOR.

I was also placed on the regular wait list.

Has anyone heard of someone not only getting off the wait list but also receiving some sort of scholarship? I'm sure there's a slim to none chance of this ever happening, but I was just wondering.

Plenty of people off the waitlist (be it SP, P, or R) received scholarship offers last year. Don't fret.

Thanks! :D

Lastly, do you think we have something to gain by requesting an interview if we had a super rare experience that negatively impacted our overall application? My LSAT was misprinted-- later verified by LSAC and my proctor-- which rendered an entire reading passage incomprehensible. I mentioned this in my addendum, but perhaps discussing this in person could help? Or do you think I should submit the LOCI and wait it out?

Mmmmmmm. Now that is a super special snowflake case. I know there are many other TLSers with knowledge that extends beyond my own on matters such as this. Anybody????????

I was originally held back in November. Today, THE notification day for people being held, I was put on the Preferred Waiting List.

Georgetown is my top choice, so I am willing to wait for a while. That said, planning life needs to happen at some point. Also, scholarship offers elsewhere need to be accepted / turned down by certain dates, so I feel especially antsy about possibly giving up a scholarship, only to NOT get in off the waitlist at Georgetown. Ah, decisions. I hope this thread will be lively with updates!

Preferred waitlist on Friday. Planning on waiting it out as long as possible. I am a reverse splitter. Considering retaking in June and sending my score to GTown. I read about a few instances on TLS of people doing that and getting off the waitlist with $$. Any thoughts? What are other reverse splitters' strategies?

Just got my Feb LSAT retake score and saw a solid bump. Hoping that it may be enough to move me from the PWL to an accept. What seems to be the consensus on LOCI timing with this kind of situation?

That's what I'm doing... studying to retake in June.

I'll put in my deposit at my highest acceptance and re-evaluate after the score.

That's my exact plan! Hoping the retake can get me money at my other top choice that I've been accepted to and in at GTown with a little money.

Preferred waitlist notification today. Interviewed 2/22. GPA>median<LSAT and I am not sure how long I am willing to wait.

Now that we are on the WL, will we all get status updates before they accept or ding us, or will it just be a letter out of the blue in the mail box?
