LOL if you scroll above... and look in the Loyola Chicago thread it was a question I was asking also. The best answer I can give is that their undergrad isn't as solid as some of the other tier schools.

I've been wondering the same thing...is it likely that you will be attending?
Possibly, still waiting to hear back from almost all the schools out west though.

The school has no name recognition outside of Chicago (and even then its very little), it's situated in a saturated market that contains 7 schools of which it is 4th, and the job numbers are meh

Anyone try to negotiate scholarships? I emailed them over a week ago and haven't heard anything back yet. I'm hoping that means that they are considering it.

Accepted via email about a week ago. $15k/yr, no stipulations, guaranteed for all 3 years. I'm OOS though so, while Chicago in general is super attractive (I've wanted to live there for years), this is still expensive. Still waiting on several other schools, including Loyola, who I think has better name recognition. Hoping to get some other offers and maybe I can leverage my way into Chicago :) I hope to visit CK and Loyola soon!

Just got an unsolicited bump in $. Up another 5k/year. I was feeling borderline but this puts CK into the list of possibilities for me.

Yes, it was. Mine was extended to the end of the week with a scholly increase yesterday, but I doubt most people had that happen.

I'm not sure, honestly. It's a great location but I'm worried about people not knowing that the school exists in Chicago. At least schools like Depaul and Loyola are schools people would know. It shouldn't be a big deal considering the employment stats for Chicago-Kent are better than those schools, but it's holding me back a bit.

I think someone started a rumor on these forums that nobody has heard of kent and that Loyola and Depaul are better because those institutions have more name recognition among people who know nothing about law school. There are Kent graduates all over the city.

Congrats to all the recent admits! I e-mailed the Dean and was able to bump up my scholarship, so that was good! Put the deposit in and I'm looking forward to this fall! Still on some other school's "held" lists, but going to this school for very little money is very enticing over a debt of $100,000+.

Anyone else in for the fall?

I deposited as well last night!! The money was a big deciding factor for me, as I'm sure it is for most people who will be attending.

I haven't been to campus yet. I plan on visiting before the 2nd deposit deadline. Have you been?
