I'm curious about this too, I had to miss this weekend because of a bachelor part, but if it's worth while to go I want to. Even though I'm already 100% on attending.

Good Luck! I won't mind if they toss that seat my way. For the accepted folk, was a deadline given for the first deposit?jj1990 wrote:Withdrawing my app. Hope one of you gets my seat

Thanks JH. Hoping they start peeling a few apps off the waitlist late April, early May.

Re: UConn c/o 2017 Applicants
I think the email we were sent said checks have to be postmarked 4/15, so I would guess they'll start admitting from the WL sometime around the week of April 21. That would give mailed checks enough time to arrive from more or less anywhere in the US, no?CuffsgoKlick wrote:Thanks JH. Hoping they start peeling a few apps off the waitlist late April, early May.

Did anyone notice the new law school transparency score for U CONN has dropped 10 percentage points? Really concerning. I am 90% sure I will be going here after receiving a nice scholarship offer last week.

Re: UConn c/o 2017 Applicants
Well, I can finally post in here without feeling like a jinx - got my acceptance letter today! It's for the PT program, and I'm trying to see if I can get that moved to the FT program (thought I'd want to do nights, but have had a few months to think it over while working FT days and I'd rather not do all of that!)
But I got IN! This is an amazing moment, since this school means a lot to me (family alumni) and I didn't get in 10 years ago when I applied right out of undergrad. REDEMPTION!
Hoping for some $ from them, looks like it takes a while to get that letter...anyone get a packet in the mail, or just an email?
Looking forward to potentially meeting you fine people in a few months!

Is anyone planning on attending evening for the first year, then transferring to full-time?

Alumn here. This is common and easy- don't sweat it. Also a quick tip: because you basically have free reign over picking your classes after 1L, it's possible to switch to the day program (and finish in 3 years) but also take only evening courses (and continue working full time during days). Not recommended because of the higher course load, but I knew some people who pulled it off. I had a part time job throughout 3L year and took mostly night classes, which made it easier to schedule my work hours.#NotACop wrote:Is anyone planning on attending evening for the first year, then transferring to full-time?
Anyway, best of luck to everyone.

Got accepted, just got financial aid/grant info - does this mean no scholarship if I haven't received it yet, or did anyone get more money after getting financial aid info?
Trying to make this all affordable without too many loans! Thank goodness for in-state tuition..

Re: UConn c/o 2017 Applicants
I received my scholarship before I got my grant info, but that was in early March when they hadn't reviewed any of the financial aid applications yet. I'm not sure what the timeline for either one is, but I do know that they're considered separately. Scholarships come from a scholarship committee (I think it might actually be the same people who are on the admissions committee) and grants/fin aid/etc. come from the Financial Aid office. You'll get an email from the dean via UConn's LSAC email account if you get a scholarship, and fin aid notifications/forms will come from StudFin@law.uconn.edu. Hope that helps!stacyx wrote:Got accepted, just got financial aid/grant info - does this mean no scholarship if I haven't received it yet, or did anyone get more money after getting financial aid info?
