Re: UConn c/o 2017 Applicants
I have an app basically completed for here, but I emailed them asking for a fee waiver. I'd be New England Compact for tuition classification, and have stats over each 75th, so I'd say I'll get one but who knows.

I know this was touched on a little bit, but I was wondering if they sent out the lunch invite to pretty much everyone or if they send them out to only specific people? Also, any certain dress code or anything else I should know?

I just got one today and was wondering the same thing. I'm going to try to go if I can, I'd love to see the school before it's time to decide about deposits, etc.scp08004 wrote:I know this was touched on a little bit, but I was wondering if they sent out the lunch invite to pretty much everyone or if they send them out to only specific people? I got a lunch invite as well. Curious as to expected dress code. Is it only an hour long? Thx

Anybody know if NE compact people can get a full scholarship offer? It seems like that's mainly reserved for CT residents.

Dress nicely; a suit is fine but I don't think it's necessary. Probably ought to wear a shirt and tie at least, boys. The ladies were nicely and professionally dressed. If you're accepted and you don't show up abjectly disheveled and/or naked they probably won't rescind.
It was a group interview in my case. We had opportunities to speak on our backgrounds and interests and to ask anything we wanted.

I'm going and I can't wait. I heard the Dean was a really good guy who is genuinely interested in meeting new students. Anyone else?

Nothing yet. I just filed my taxes, so I'll be sending the need-based aid form in today. Anyone know how generous need-based tends to be for out of state? I know they favor in state applicants generally...JustHawkin wrote:Anyone receive any scholarships yet?
