In my case it was a group lunch (7 people); some were admitted students, some had applied. You could say it was a mutual information session where the dean demonstrated his sincere interest in us and did his best "I'm the most effective pimp UConn Law has ever had." He'll be good at tying your goals to the school's programs.

I'd recommend going.

The email didn't have any additional information besides time/date/place so this is super helpful, thanks!

I'm in! I got an email inviting me to lunch with the dean and I thought, hey this sounds like something for accepted students. Checked status checker and then my spam folder and found the acceptance in there! Pretty excited, it's definitely one of my top choices. It seems like other people haven't been offered scholarships yet either, is this true for everyone? I'm not expecting much, feeling lucky just to have gotten in with my numbers but yeah some money would definitely help my decision.

Sounds like the lunch invitation is an indicator of scholarship potential. I haven't received that email and I'd be very surprised to get any kind of scholarship from UConn. Congrats, hope you get a nice award!

This past Monday. I wasn't expecting anything anyway, my numbers are WAY below their 25th percentile. I was banking on my retake to give me a shadow of a chance for $. Not very confident one day after the test. I was killing it until the last section :-(

Congrats on acceptance. I'm sure it was well deserved! They won't be reporting on schollies until March. If your score goes up at all, that'll give you a better shot.

Thanks! I really hope it happens for me, but I'm happy with my options so I'm not going to beat myself up over it. Congrats though, it's a great school and you must have worked really hard to be in the position you're in!

@Lwoods1020, Nothing yet. Kind of surprised though, I've gotten offers from other schools, some ranked in the 20s/30s, as well as some comparable to Uconn. Maybe they come out later? I think someone on here said they come out in March...?

ugh so late.
They need to realize that by sending out acceptances and schollys that late, people lose interest.

I have.

Agreed. I'm in the same boat with Richmond. When other schools have already come up with offers but Richmond and Uconn won't let me know until March, it's a little tough to wait around.

All schools are having an odd cycle due to declining numbers and most are trying to make sense of it all. This is only to our advantage. Patience is a virtue.

You're right. It will probably pay off to be patient....but I can be patiently ripping my hair out at the same time, right?

This is the most economic approach. Once you are studying for law school finals you can't procrastinate by tearing hair out, because you won't have any left.

It was until the same thing happened to me. Got some offers from higher ranked schools that will be real tough to turn down. I wouldn't say no to an inexpensive degree in my home state, though (if you're reading this Uconn, hook me up)

I'm pretty sure my application will be "under review" forever and I must spend the rest of my days checking the Status Checker every 15 minutes...even at midnight...on a Sunday.

It will! If you didn't have something they want they'd have said no by now, you guys are definitely in good shape!

I hope you're right PattyCake. It would really stink to wait this long only to get dinged. If I get accepted I'll definitely go, no question about it because UConn is my first choice. **sigh** **still waiting** under review since 1/29 for PT program. app submitted in November...**sigh**

Pshah! 1/29 is nothin', you're in great shape! I had 2 "under review" date changes. I think I've heard others say the same. May be that each date change is when it passes from one reviewer to another? Either way, that's not a bad sign. I'm way below their medians and I got in after about 2-3 weeks review. I think you're in great shape :-)

Aaah. You give me great hope, and I truly feel blessed for all the support I'm getting from complete strangers. Gives me hope in humanity again. Would be honored to go to law school with some of you (Cuffs, Hawkin' and of course, PattyCake!!!!). I actually feel better now. Now...if only SPRING WOULD GET HERE!!
