The weather is absolutely terrible. I would want to live within walking distance of the campus/CATA bus loops because driving there can get dicey and the bus routes like the V etc don't run very efficiently. Check out the Allenway and the Glemland Building. They are both down town and are not for undergrads. The Allenway is LOVELY and right on Allen street.

I have to say, as a PSU grad who probably got my current job because I am a PSU alumna the network is strong. It doesn't matter if you just went for graduate or law school, Penn Staters like to promote their own people and once you are a "Nittany Lion" you are considered one of the family.

I would strongly advise against living downtown, but that's just my opinion.

The law school runs a little different than the rest of the school, and you can always use your own judgment if the weather is bad and you can't drive in. That said, there were only a handful of time over my 3 years when I really thought I shouldn't drive to campus.

Anyway - if anyone has any questions, I am an employed recent grad and would be happy to tell you whatever I can about the school or life after law school

Are internships difficult to find from the UP campus for over the summer?

Same... I was about to make a similar post in this thread. My application has been "under review" since 1/7.

any news this week yet? I've been unreview since 1/7 as well and am going absolutely crazy waiting

Nope. In my experience with other schools news seems to come out on Fridays.

I hope they didn't forget about us. I checked my numbers against the graph of this year's cycle here: http://pennstate.lawschoolnumbers.com/stats/1314. If it holds true I should expect an acceptance -- but the long wait worries me.

Thanks for sharing! That graph definitely gives me hope of an acceptance also. Since we do have the same under review date, I'm hoping that admissions just got a lot of applications around that time and got a little backed up. Hopefully we'll know for sure by tomorrow. Wishing you luck!

OMG what kind of dog? Mine is a Lhasa Apso. I am so excited for law school, I finished a semester early so I starting to get bored with all the free time I have.

If it helps, I applied early January and spoke to admissions about two weeks ago, they said I should have an answer by today. Hopefully they'll send a bunch out

Anybody else get the email saying they are getting rid of all stipulations other than good academic standing?

Do you know whether Penn State is willing to negotiate scholarships? I really REALLY REALLY want to go but I need more money to help off set the costs :?

April 15th is deadline for Seat Deposit. They gave me an increase in scholarship after attending the Open House, so negotiation I would foresee as possible

I got the swag box as well and have not committed.
Also, @GlobeTrottin'Slick; they are definitely open to negotiation. I got an increase (and phone call) three days after I asked for more money. PM me if you have questions!

I emailed the admissions people asking about an increase. They said that they will reply in a few days. Really hoping to get an increase after visiting to make it financially viable for me. I was really impressed and quite frankly it blew away the other open houses I attended.

No commit, and I likely will be withdrawing. I've commented before at how this was my top choice, and the campus is incredibe. But after making that 3.5 hour trek from Philly, I can't do it. Anyone who's choosing to attend PSU I think is making a great choice, and I've been thoroughly impressed with the professors and students that I've spoken to. I just can't imagine being that far away from Philly.

Date change today. First went under review on 3/25. How many date changes did others have before receiving a decision?

I'm in with a 25,000/yearly scholarship. I'm still wringing my hands pretty hard about where to go. It's definitely between Penn State and my in-state University.
