UConn: status changes to "decision." Email went to spam. They will then follow up with another email giving you your UConn netid info, your email account, and a whole bunch of financial aid info. All scholarships are being reviewed in the next few weeks. About 2 weeks after my admission decision I received an invitation to have lunch with the dean. Seems like many or most admitted students receive the lunch invite (pizza and informal interview, very relaxed, I enjoyed myself).

Quinnipiac: status changes to "Decision mailed" followed by an email. Scholarship info sent via snail mail, followed one week later by a snail mail invite to interview for an increase. After interview the new award (+$10K) was sent via snail mail as well. Deans fellows interview invites will all be sent by 3/10.

Buffalo: complete, under review, admitted. Scholarship info sent in snail mail acceptance letter 7-10 days later (mine had to be resent - original was probably lost somewhere during the snowstorms and will arrive in June).

Does anyone know- when a T14 school extends an offer to someone on the waitlist, how much time do they give said person to think over their decision? Or is the applicant expected to accept or reject the offer over the phone? Perhaps this varies school to school.

U of South Carolina sent me an invite to admitted student's day before I even got the e-mail telling me I was accepted!

U of Richmond

Phone call of acceptance

One or two days later I got an e-mail indicating I was accepted and I will get some sort of package in the mail

U of Cincinnati
Received via e-mail
Complete via e-mail
Accept via e-mail

Northeastern
Received via e-mail
Complete via e-mail
Decision rendered, go to status checker via e-mail
Waitlisted via status checker

WAKE FOREST!!!!!!! (can you tell which is on top of my list? lol)
Received and Complete via e-mail, the same e-mail!
Accptance and Scholarship via e-mail, the same e-mail!
Lots of follow up e-mails telling me exactly what I need to do, it's like law school acceptance for dummies! = ) They just want to make it easy on us poor souls...gosh I love them already!

I check my status checkers daily, so I will post more as they come in.

Wyoming (for an admittance letter) is just a letter sized envelope with a letter from a dean congratulating you on your acceptance. If you are being offered any financial aid, that will be included. Nothing fancy but the news is still great!

I see a lot of people on here suggesting withdrawing if you think you have a chance of denial. Instead you could ride it out right? Does it hurt your chance of getting accepted if you get denied at another school? No!

This feels like a stupid question, so it probably is...

How do you know when the "Completes" update on the Georgetown status checker? Maybe I haven't been checking often enough (doubtful)...but it seems like it's just said the same old "Current Status: Application Complete" For about 2 weeks now...

Maybe this is a silly question, but will they tell us the $$ they're offering when they send the acceptance e-mail/letter/call?? Or do we have to wait longer for this? Specifically, what is the process for Duke? I was priority tracked so I assume I'll hear from them first but they mentioned something about getting scholarship info later....

When your status checker says "Application complete," it won't update again until a decision is made. If you are accepted you will receive a letter in the mail, if WL/dinged you'll receive an email.
