I plan on asking as well, keep us updated if you are lucky enough to enlarge that scholarship!CoffeeIsLife wrote:I sent something out today. I'll be sure to let you know when I hear something back regardless of the response.joe blow wrote:I have not asked yet but I do plan to.

Re: University of South Carolina 2017
Best of luck. I've already made my case (days before the deposit), and they said that they usually cannot increase offers. I want to state my interest again since I'm above median LSAT and way above median GPA with unique work experiences, but alas, I don't want to step on too many toes before I even get there. I have heard there are more scholarships available second year, so at this point, I'm going to focus my efforts there.CoffeeIsLife wrote:Now that the deposit deadline has passed, has anyone asked if they would reconsider your scholarship offer? I spoke to them before the deadline and they said once the deadline passes and they have a better idea about their class they will know if they can give additional scholarships. Pretty much just looking for a little extra $$ to sweeten the deal.

Going to be attending, unless FSU comes through before their acceptance deadline next month. Visited columbia yesterday and really liked it.

I was wait-listed on 4/9/14. Wrote my LOCI today.
I can't say that I expected anything better, considering I didn't apply until February.
I have no other options for schools, since I'd be a non-traditional student and can't move for family reasons.

I'm curious to that too. I applied March 4 and was accepted two days later. I am also a non-traditional student but I'm not married and don't have kids. I completely expected to move for law school but USC made me want to stay here.

There's not much activity in the c/o 2017 thread, so I'll go ahead and post it here just in case. I'll be looking for a roommate for the fall, so if you're in that same boat, send me a message! I'm looking at a couple of places this weekend, so fingers crossed someone else needs a roommate.
See y'all in August!

Joining. This is the only school I've seen where it's left to the class to make one themselves haha.

Has anyone else heard back on their request for an increase? I haven't heard back and it has now been 10 days. The only positive I could take out of this is that most schools that replied really quick to me were turning me down so who knows.

I have not. I requested it via email on my new USC account. I asked a couple of other questions and did not receive a response. They're probably waiting on the Board's decision on setting tuition for the fall. That doesn't happen until June.

So, I'm looking into places to live and all, and I've started to look into job opportunities for my fiancé since she will be moving with me. Just curious if many other people are doing this, and if it is difficult/easy to find a job in Columbia? If anyone has info feel free to PM me or just post here. We would like to figure out her employment before we move but I understand it could be difficult.

Got my letter today!! Also got the non-resident merit scholarship. I haven't been to visit yet but this definitely complicates my decision because my deal at Stetson and South Carolina are pretty equal in value.

If they are both about the same cost just look at which location you want to work in, which place you would rather be in the next 3 years+ and http://www.lstscorereports.com/compare/ ... hcarolina/ this is the employment stats head to headlaurvb wrote:Got my letter today!!
