Re: University of South Carolina 2017
I took my LSAT in February and then applied. They received my LSAT score March 4 completing my application. I got my acceptance letter two days later. Got some scholly money and decided to choose them over Tulane and FSU.

So... I just checked the Status update page - and my status has disappeared. It lists year, program, and degree - but nothing else. Is this a good or bad thing?

Same thing happened with my status page. On Friday afternoon it said a decision had been mailed.

Just to update: I have received the "wait-list" email. I choose to see this as a positive thing. Here's to hoping someone else passes!

Is today the deadline for deposits?
I am still sitting at under review. So it would be interesting to see if they are waiting to see who deposits before offering me a spot

I'm pretty sure the deadline for everyone who has been accepted is today. I could be wrong thoughBankruptMe wrote:Is today the deadline for deposits?

Re: University of South Carolina 2017
Today is the deadline. There will be wait listed folks that get in, I assume. Of course, they accept way more applicants than they expect to attend. I'm sure there is some formula for that. Most prospects are accepted into more than one school and obviously cannot attend more than one.
I think I saw some stats from last year where USC had 1500-plus candidates and over 800 were accepted. Only 205 ended up attending so a lot of folks will go elsewhere.

I guess it is possible if you weren't accepted until very recently, but from my understanding of my letter, and of the ASD mentioned that it was due on 4/1amw5471 wrote:According to the person who read me my acceptance/opened my acceptance deposits are due 4/28BankruptMe wrote:Is today the deadline for deposits?

If it keeps my tuition low, they can keep their koozies and key chains.

Agreed. Do we all really need promo gear that will sit in our closets gathering dust?joe blow wrote:If it keeps my tuition low, they can keep their koozies and key chains.

No doubt. There is nothing in that box that I could use other than a travelling mug (of which I have many). They did give us leather bound portfolios at ASD that were nice. I'll probably use that at some point.

Hey everyone, for those of you accepted congrats! Everyone else keep on thinking positive!
I'm a current 1L here and looking for someone to take over my lease at The Retreat. I love it here but my girlfriend is going to come down so I need to find a place that can accommodate both of us. You can check out what the housing looks like by going to the retreat website http://www.retreatcolumbia.com/ or just google the Retreat Columbia.
It's a 10 minute drive to the law school and down past the football stadium.
If anyone is interested please let me know here so I can get the ball rolling before the leasing office finds someone else who may want it
You get the discounted price that I signed the lease for which is $619 for a furnished house and a $50 utility cap (anything over you would pay).
Thanks a lot and congrats again.
Go Cocks!

Now that the deposit deadline has passed, has anyone asked if they would reconsider your scholarship offer? I spoke to them before the deadline and they said once the deadline passes and they have a better idea about their class they will know if they can give additional scholarships. Pretty much just looking for a little extra $$ to sweeten the deal.
