Seton Hall only dropped a few and all the schools in the region dropped, some really bad. Fordham is still the better school. I got denied to Fordham but Seton Hall was my # 2 choice and I am thrilled to be going there.

Still waiting to hear back from scholarship appeal. 156, 3.4 GPA was only offered 7,500- hoping for at least 15,000 a year.
Anyone know if their is an admitted student facebook group?

So I got my mailed packet from Rutgers today and it didn't include any mention of a scholarship offer, leading me to believe that I won't be receiving one. I was hoping to be able to use a scholarship offer from them as leverage in a scholarship appeal to Seton. Without the ability to leverage a 'better' deal, is an appeal worth it? I want more money so I figure I may as well, but I really don't know much about this process.

Probably gonna be a long wait. I applied 2/9 and had my status placed into review on 3/11. Still waiting for a response.

How long after being placed into review did people receive decisions?

submitted 2/25 and just placed into review today.

Got a letter via snail mail signaling an increase in my scholarship award, after emailing and requesting for a revaluation. What are opinions on emailing for them to reevaluate again and ask for even more money. Is that possible?

Depends on what your other awards are. If you have higher offers from peer schools, or offers from better schools, you might be able to get them to play ball.

Feel free to PM me if you want whatever advice I can give.

Email Gisele Joachim. She's really helpful and will send your appeal to the right people. Received notice last week from my original appeal that my scholarship was doubled. Still emailed her again for more.

You can always email Michelle Adorno too and she will get it to the appropriate person.

This has to be one of the slowest schools in terms of process. I applied to here and Tulane at the same time. Since then, I was admitted to Tulane, negotiated scholarship increase and withdrew. On the other hand, still waiting to go complete at Seton. Is this the status quo?

Absolutely can. It couldn't hurt so as long as you are polite in your approach. I got a scholarship increase without any leverage at all. I just simply asked for more money.

In your situation, I would perhaps focus in on a reason that would keep you from going there without the extra scholly.

This link is floating around all over TLS but why not add it on this thread:

Ill be flying in from Cali Thursday for Friday's ASD. Anyone else going?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
