no word on $$ yet

Exact same thing happened to me. Very quick turnover.

I actually JUST got an email from them. Very generic. No mention of scholarships whatsoever, but I read on their website that a scholarship award letter will be included with the admissions letter, if a scholly will be awarded, of course.
Thanks for posting your acceptance on TLS- I wouldn't have checked my status checker if it wasn't for you lol :)

With your numbers, I think you will definitely get $$ from Temple!
Which school is your top choice? Looks like you will have a lot of good options.

Thank you much for your kind words. If I'm honest, with the right scholarship packages I'd be more or less happy ending up almost anywhere I've applied. I'm excited to see what Temple has to offer...

I got accepted on 2/17. If you go to the admitted student's page it says you have to call finaid and ask for a provisional award letter. I called them up and they emailed me a provisional award letter.

I received the Beasley scholarship. 30K a year with 2/3 stipulation.

anyone know how difficult it is to be in the top 2/3?
also, how many Beasley schollys are given out?

The Beasley scholarship came out of nowhere. I really didn't expect to get any money from them. My numbers were just under their medians. I've never gotten a scholarship in my life. This is scary because it just seems too good to be true.

Stats: 3.28 and 161 from a no-name school. Also, though hispanic I'm neither Mexican or Puerto Rican so I don't qualify as a URM.

Breathe  you have about a 66.6% chance of being in the top 2/3 if you don't consider yours or anyone elses abilities. With that said, those are lienent stipulations, and honestly, if you're in the bottom 1/3rd, trying to continue pursuing law is going to more difficult. If Temple is the school for you, I think you'll be fine accepting those stipulations. Way better than Rutgers top 50%.

Does anyone know if Temple will give a travel stipend for their admitted student day on March 22nd?

Easiest way to know is to give them a call!

I don't know if I already posted, but I'm in with $30,000/yr 2/3rd stip. 162/3.6

I won't be able to make the ASD, but I already live/work in the area and can answer all you're questions about Philly and surrounding regions. I'm torn between Temple and Villanova, but you'll likely see me on Broad St. next Fall. The school has a great local reputation and the campus is laid out really well.

I am also torn between Villanova and Temple at this point (and maybe even Cardozo and Brooklyn?).

Anyway, anyone who thinks Temple might be their destiny, please keep me and Agentsoapbox company here: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=225152

Not applying this cycle, but seriously considering Temple down the line. For those of you that have applied and been accepted, where are you from, and where do you expect to work with your degree? I'm from the other side of PA and want to know how well a JD from Temple travels.

I can't speak much to this particular question because I have no personal experience getting a job in law, but this might help you!

It seems like placement in PA is pretty good, not as great outside of PA. Anyone from PA should probably understand that it's one of the best schools in the state! I'd expect it to "travel" well within PA, if you can really call that traveling!

Thanks for posting! I love that website so much  Anyone who hasn't used that site to help their decision making is making a huge mistake!

I was pretty much all set on Temple... until Villanova came at me with their scholarship offer. :? But yeah, I think Temple is usually the better school, but a lot depends on your individual goals.

I'm planning on staying in Philadelphia and from what I understand Temple is highly regarded in the area. My husband works at a large firm in the city and also went to Temple Law. He has told me that because there are so many Temple grads doing well in the multitude of firms in the area, it really helps when you're trying to get a job. Not only is there a precedent for Temple grads doing well, not the mention the reputation of their writing program which is so very important, but there are many Temple grads on the hiring committees that will help in championing Temple grads into the firms. I know that this extends into Jersey some and the Philly suburbs, but I'm not too sure about Pensatucky or Pittsburgh. Besides, if you're staying in the area, the networking opportunities and summer associate opportunities are seemingly endless.

Thanks

Not to be discouraging, but that's actually pretty tough to do. Did you move out to CA for school? Is there any way you could have a "permanent address" in PA (like your parents')? That would be easier.

I would contact the school directly and ask about this. Maybe they could help you out.

It's a lot harder to become a PA resident than a NJ resident (And it should be, who wants to live in NJ!?!?! ). I do not know a single person who was granted in-state status while enrolled as a student. But I would go ahead and speak with financial aid directly and see what happens.

Honestly, Temple is still a pretty good deal at the out of state price. It's still less than UPenn, Drexel, and Villanova. (Full disclosure, I'm biased, because I'm about to graduate and got the job I wanted)

If you are still interested, I don't think it could hurt. I had a buddy who was accepted off of the waitlist about 3 days before orientation. So there is always a chance.

I'm an out of state student and asked about it, I was told that people will not be able to get in state tuition if they moved to PA solely for the purpose of going to school, so it's very doubtful
