In case anyone wants to know, I just talked to the admissions office and the person I spoke to said that there are a couple new people on the admission committee who are taking their time with the decisions. I guess there was just a meeting with the committee last week where they had a ton of pressure put on them to get decisions out as soon as possible. They said I should be hearing by the end next week for sure if not the end of this week. It seems like a lot of other people have heard that same thing so we will see what happens.

Meh, they've been repeating similar lines for the last two months. You'll hear from them when you hear from them, in the meantime relax.elcapitan wrote:In case anyone wants to know, I just talked to the admissions office and the person I spoke to said that there are a couple new people on the admission committee who are taking their time with the decisions. They didn't as of a three years ago at least, but I'm pretty sure they still don't.Cal Trask wrote:Do you know if they provide a stipend for ASW?LeDique wrote:If you come to visit I'm ignoring you the whole time.Cal Trask wrote:In.

I remember my year there was some dude on TLS that applied, got a full-ride, but then decided not to visit or consider attending because they wouldn't give him a travel stipend. I swear people apply to way too many schools.
DU gives travel stipends, or at least they gave me one three years ago. If you apply to both schools just use DU's airfare money to visit Boulder too. The two schools are 25 minutes apart.

Complete 2/20, In review 2/24. A little late in the cycle but should I expect a decision in the next 2-3 weeks?

I don't think so. Seems like they've been slow this cycle. I've been in review since 2/3 and haven't heard a thing. That seems like the general experience in this thread.azug2azlaw wrote:Complete 2/20, In review 2/24. A little late in the cycle but should I expect a decision in the next 2-3 weeks?

Hm. Waitlisted. Seems odd to me, since I have been accepted at peer and higher ranked schools...

From what I've heard and seen schools can vary quite a bit in their decision making process...AndiDail wrote:Hm. Waitlisted. Seems odd to me, since I have been accepted at peer and higher ranked schools...
When did you go into review? Just curious, was wondering how long it took them before you heard back

I was also waitlisted. Not upset about it given my hards (strong softs), hoping to get an admit this summer.

I am assuming you didn't apply to UNC or, if you have, aren't having the same experience I am with them.AndiDail wrote:Complete 11/10Annie787 wrote:From what I've heard and seen schools can vary quite a bit in their decision making process...AndiDail wrote:Hm. No status change since. Plenty of people have gotten decisions. Guess it's just one of those years.
