HYS c/o 2017, REJECTIONS Thread (2013-2014)

Post by iamgeorgebush » Sat Nov 16, 2013 1:36 pm

Were you dinged by one of the Holy Trinity?

With acceptances starting to roll in, rejections will soon follow. Let's all share our tragic tales of denial and crushed dreams.

Image

YALE LAW SCHOOL
Median LSAT: Too high for you!
Median GPA: You should've majored in basket weaving!
Softs: You're definitely not interesting enough to attend Yale Law School!

Image

HARVARD LAW SCHOOL
Median LSAT: Too high for you!
Median GPA: You should've majored in basket weaving!
Softs: Not gonna save you from your inferior numbers!

Image

STANFORD LAW SCHOOL
Median LSAT: Do they even look at your LSAT score?
Median GPA: You DEFINITELY should've majored in basket weaving!
Softs: Not Mark Zuckerberg or the reincarnation of Mother Theresa? No SLS for you!

Great idea OP!!! That Stanford Law building looks super modern. This thread has great potential. I know of a guy whose LSN profile I came across who said he ruined his chances at HLS due to mentioning TLS in his interview with JS. She apparently isn't too fond of TLS. He had like a 3.8/175ish. This person firmly believes it ruined his chances at HLS. Hopefully this thread has other such tales of insight.

This has incredible potential. I'm sure I'll be posting my ding from HLS sometime in February/March

Yeah, while HLS is usually a numbers game, there are always a few that should get in and don't; and that numbers-wise shouldn't but do.

IGB, it will be so rich if the OP of this thread gets into Harvard, Yale and Stanford.

It was badddddddd, I literally stumbled over words for like 30-40 seconds at one point. The answer I came up with was terrible and when she asked a question at the end I basically said something really stupid and possibly even rude lol. (accidentally of course, and I think she knew that but it was still dumb)
Solid.

Hey, there's always Columbia. Lots of JS1'ers here who didn't make it all the way.

This is going to be one of my greatest sources of catharsis, outside of endless Futurama episodes and cookies.

Happy Gilmore, your JS1 sounds exactly like mine. So +1 on checking in here in advance.

I'm keeping sane hoping that numbers outweigh JS1s by a long-shot.

Any information of HYS acceptance so far, is it true that SLS already admitted someone?
