Will it be too much if I ask for a consideration of Dean's Scholarship as I've been awarded the $40k/yr Alumni Scholarship? $7k still makes a difference tho.

+1.

This is also my question. Is Dean's Scholarship full tuition, or does it leave you owing only 10% of tuition? I'm also in the Alumni Scholarship boat, wondering if one can ask for more..

Is there anyone here who didn't initially receive a scholarship and has had luck negotiating with them?

I don't get why people ask this question. What are they going to do? Get pissed and rescind your scholly/acceptance? Do it! Worst they can say is no. Best case scenario, they give you a bump of 7k per year and you go buy a new car with that money you would have spent after you graduate.

Did ask them but got a "no". That's acceptable and I'm glad that at least I asked.

just a reminder that second seat deposit is due June 2. you can mail your check in or do it online. also, its probably a good idea to order your UG transcript and have it sent in.

Has anyone used the Loyola housing classifieds? Won't have access until next week and I wanted to get an idea of how useful it'll be...or if I should just stick to the Craigslist search. Thanks!

Yeah, I got the same email as well. I'm assuming they sent this to everyone on the waitlist, correct?

Some advice for all of you. Decide on which school you would be happiest at and send an email requesting an increase in your scholarship. My scholarships from from the SoCal regional schools were increased a few times, when I decided to email Loyola based on my friend's advice (who had done so with her law school last year). Within a week, they increased my scholarship to a full tuition scholarship every year, approximately 1400 stipend for books every year, and an alumni mentor.

I'm still waiting as well. During the Waitlist chat, the Admissions Office said they would be hosting a 1 on 1 Counseling Session in June but I haven't heard anything since.

What are your numbers if you don't mind me asking? PM me if that's easier for you.

Did anyone on the waitlist also receive the email yesterday about the 1 on 1 meeting with an admissions officer? Not sure if this is an informal interview.

I think it's definitely an informal interview. I think those who sign up for one of these sessions will be considered more closely than those waitlist applicants who decide not to.

Not sure what to expect though. It sounds like you will need to have questions for them (questions not answered by their website/FAQs.

If anyone else has any thoughts about what the "1 on 1 counseling session," please share.

Hey everyone, I was just accepted off the waitlist on tuesday so there has been movement if any waitlisters are wondering. About the final transcripts requirement, does anyone know if we only send the transcript from the school we graduated from or do we also have to send transcripts from all the schools we attended? (such as cc).

Looking forward to meeting all you admits this fall!

How'd you find out? Did you get a phone call, email, letter in the mail, etc?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
