Still not under review. Given up at this point.
Just got waitlisted, below both medians (well below the 25th GPA), and never went under review. Hang in there, there's still hope!
Damn wait listed. I was around both medians too.

just visited today and really enjoyed it, got a scholarship bump as well. definitely in my final 3 now, perfect location just a couple miles from the city but an actual college campus unlike some of my other options

For anyone that is taking out loans, what you think about the Boston College Law School loan? I think it's probably smarter to go entirely with federal loans and decline it right? I think it has a lower interest rate but then you would have two payments and don't have the option for IBR/PAYE, default, etc. I think it just goes to collections if you can't pay it idk.

Any thoughts on this?

Is it crazy to choose bc in my situation? (emory, wash u, minnesota, indiana, unc, william and mary acceptances) please help! Thank you, visiting BC next week good luck everyone!
Seriously, stop caring about USNWR rankings. They mean nothing and no one cares about it. It's a shitty magazine with a horrible ranking methodology that exists only so 0Ls can justify their law school decisions. Hiring partners don't care about it, people in the legal field don't follow them (except their own school), and it will never affect your legal career. BC's relative employment rankings went up, and it dropped like 8 spots in USNWR. How does that make any sense?

I was talking to a hiring partner from one of the top firms in Boston recently, and someone brought up the rankings. He just shrugged his shoulders and said he hadn't looked at them in 20 years. He then looked around for another point of conversation. It was like someone asked him if he liked Kim or Chloe Kardashian more.

For all the 0Ls concerned about rankings, there are great reasons to go to BC, and great reasons to avoid it. USNWR rankings are neither of those things.

If you want to practice in Boston/NY, and you chose Georgia because its a higher ranked school, you're an idiot. If you're dying to practice in NY and you took ASU over Fordham, you deserve all the disappointment you're going to get when OCI is a disaster for you. If you're deciding between BC/BU and base it on rankings, fine, but you might as well flip a quarter. It's equally arbitrary.

It's a shit system that should never factor into law school decisions

this is part of the confirmation i need to withdraw wustl and go for the good old BC

why the on campus housing without meal plan is even more expensive than the without meal plan....does it mean the meals included are unbearably neauseating or the types of apartment are different...according to their meal plan..?
Room: $1,418/month (average on-campus apartments per person "without meal plan," for nine months)
Room: $1,196/month (average on-campus apartments per person "with meal plan," for nine months)

So, as someone who went to BC undergrad and is considering BC Law, I might be able to shed some light. BC loves it's bundles like any good sales person and they tend to include everything in one package to get you to stay on campus. It was pretty similar for undergraduate housing yet this is just a theory that I have. Would you be able to link where you saw the info though?

if it is not a typo, i'd think that they are simply suggesting that the meal plan is a cheaper option than maintaining your own kitchen. which feels like kind of a stretch - i wonder if the figure includes things other than mere groceries (gas/transportation/fancy place settings/etc.)

Any waitlist activity? Also, would anyone be willing to take a look at my LOCI?

Did anyone else on the wait list get an email this past Friday to confirm your interest?
I sent two LOCI, a new letter of rec. and new academic achievements in the weeks prior to that email I received from them Friday.

I'm in at BC but I've written a few LOCIs for Fordham, so I wouldn't mind taking a look at your LOCI.

Accepted after being under review since 4/18. Looks like I'll be going somewhere this fall haha. Though if an acceptance here can be parlayed into getting off the waitlist at BU I'll have to see.

Yes, I got that email too.
May I ask how long you were both on the wait list before receiving that email confirming your interest? Also, sallysitwell, did you receive any confirmation that they received the additional materials you sent? I sent my LOCI last week and still no word from anyone at BC (just a quick email confirming the receipt would be nice, so I know it didn't go in a black hole). :?

I was waitlisted on 3/25. Received the email confirming my interest on 4/25 and I emailed my LOCI on 4/29 (Received a short email confirming receipt the following day). Did you send it via email?

I was waitlisted 3/23. BC has been extremely prompt with sending confirmations after my LOCIs and emails.

Withdrew recently. About half-tuition scholarship back in the pot. This was hard. Good Luck to those waitlisted.
